  1. Past hour
  2. I'm keeping my eyes on Taylen Green out of Arkansas. Good size, strong arm, and 4 years of playing between Arkansas and Boise St. He also has Bobby Petrino coaching him up who knows a thing or two about developing QBs see Lamar Jackson.
  3. I get what you’re saying but the reason I think his mentality underscores it all is that he did have legitimately solid and sometimes even good games at the end of last year after his bench, and against some good teams (PHI, Tampa, KC) but that was only after the season was shot and everyone thought he was done for. then once he had to play a meaningful game on Sunday he crumbled right back to pre bench form. It’s like he’s only able to when it *doesnt* matter But all just semantics tbh, we both agree that he ain’t it lol
  4. I'm still a big Bryce supporter. I don't look much at his rookie year as that only deepened the hole he has to climb out of. I see this past game as the 1st of his 2nd year. Judge him based off of his play after his benching. No argument that is play those first two games last year were about as bad as it gets. No question. This is the start of year 2 for Canales and he was out coaches against the Jags but I like his process and how he goes about things. I like that he, Morgan and Tillis seem like a unit and on the same path. Saying we never should have drafted him based on his height and weight is a valid opinion but he was a universal top pick in the draft and elite talent coming out. I have seen little evidence those are still issues. He is physical enough to take some monster hits and I don't see a limit to his passing due to his height. The lack of arm strength is a tired argument. He has the physical ability to make all the necessary NFL throws. Of course he doesn't have the cannon Cam did coming out but he also doesn't have Cams accuracy and throwing with touch issues. They are different players and Bryce has a ton of work to do just to be in Cams shadow. Bryce IS part of the problem but he isn't the problem. His play the last half of the season last year was impressive and showed a ton of growth and improvement. Outside of Horn, Nola and Chuba the whole team and staff looked severely off and not ready. If Dave calls a great game and other players play average NFL level football and Bryce still plays like this that is when we'll actually have as big an issue at QB as the haters believe. The issues are team wide and it's one game. Also, I like Tepper.

    WR drops

They aren't credited with drops. That's just PFF. Not sure why they are still being pimped this hard when week 1 really highlights how bad they can be at times. Especially when they manufactured Bryce's grade like they did. Some 1984 stuff going on there....PFF telling folks not to believe their eyes and ears.
  6. It took new ownership to change the culture in that organization. We are not getting that here.
  7. I don't know that we are really even drafting athletes. We are if you only look at 2/3rds of the standard athletic profile. Size? Check. Long distance straight line speed? Check. Any sort of quickness or change of direction metrics? Throw it out. We only draft guys who dont test for those. Weight and 40 time is plenty.
  8. Not if we want him to start year one. I think overall the team is getting better and having a '26 qb sit year one might not be a terrible idea if we like who is there 1-3.
  9. This post is DOA. Watching that Miami game and they get credited with 0 drops!? Also you have CeeDee Lamb admitting he dropped 4 passes in their loss but 0 for him too. Wherever you are getting stats from I would change that source.
  10. Yes This is a failure of both scouting and coaching. And by coaching I mean both in preparation and in gameday execution.
  11. I believe he knows bryce has severe limitations and can only execute specific plays and throws. Same issue every other nfl coach has had with him.
  12. If we were patient in '23, we would not be picking #1 in '24 unless we traded down. In that year's class, you left off Bo Nix and Drake Maye. Nix was third for rookie of the year and Maye went 30-46 for a td and an int.
  13. This is cherry picking in the same way that Bryce apologists are bringing up random pff stats to say he was good. There were clearly plenty of plays left on the field by receivers. The XL not getting 2 feet in while catching the ball 5 yards from the sideline should count as a drop imo, and there were a handful of other plays to be had that good wrs make.

    WR drops

NFL does not officially track drops on their sites. They get that data from third-parties like PFF and ESPN.
  15. Except at QB where they did the exact opposite and drafted a guy with none of the athletic measurables but just assumed he could translate his college production because super processor PG mentality, nevermind the reality that he'll no longer enjoy his team having a massive talent advantage over nearly every opponent.
  16. eh, its obvious that "good" games from Bryce are the anomaly and outlier.
  17. To be fair, there have been UDFAs in the past two seasons who played better than Bryce, far better, to say nothing of those who had been drafted.
  18. Backup qb? Im not so sure about that. Also what is the point in bringing in some stop gap qb to be a backup? What does that accomplish. This is a tear the bandaid off year. If Bryce sucks this year then hes gone. There isnt much point in not letting him play it out. He seals his fate.
  19. You're not gonna turnover the entire locker room in the off-season. If you lose the trust of the whole team you're basically cooked. It's just a matter of if you get fired after this season or after another lost season.
  20. Which is exactly why it's the organization's job to care about it.
  21. By pff but not by the NFL.
  22. Those passes to Hunter were all begging to get him sent home on a stretcher, Everytime one went his way I held my breath.
  23. I think Dan is right about the footwork. He’s futzing around with his drop to time his shuffle hitch throw appropriately. Bryce doesn’t like to put his foot in the ground and throw. He likes to crow hop a little unfortunately for Hunter digestive tract, there’s a safety Bryce either doesn’t see or doesn’t read and hospital balls him.
  24. All bryce needs to win games is for every other player on both offense and defense to play perfect, its really not his fault that every other player on the team is not a probowl player, he is an awesome qb everyone else just needs to play at 200% so everyone can see how great bryce is ahahahahah
  25. It’s also an ESPN guy making sure he leads his videos with IM A BRYCE BELIEVER ESPN guys can’t trash him, probably because of Alabama reasons.
