Yep, all NFL players learn everything they will need to know for their careers by the start of their 2nd season, they never learn and improve after that. Oh, and if you’re a 1st round pick, you learn all that in the first couple months of the draft, so T-Mac is good for the rest of his career too. Sorry Horn Jr, you’re just SOL I guess

People overestimate what coaches do. It’s like you’ve never watched the sidelines during a game and see the players talking about what they’re seeing out there and giving each other pointers to play better. Yes, coaches do some of that, but people are straight up sticking their heads in the sand if they think seasoned vets don’t impart wisdom onto younger players every day of the season.

This is why re-signing Brady Christensen was so important.

This is pretty brutal for Bryce Young. Thielen was the one receiver he had actual chemistry with and trust in. Getting into empty looks and giving Thielen two-way goes was how the Panthers sparked Bryce's turnaround https://x.com/ollieconnolly/status/1960706467457057064?s=46&t=xeIgh_-Vr2aKxBkBJdfnKA

Nothing towards you, but I’ve seen this 50 times today and I think people forget what the wide receivers COACH is for. Ours played in the NFL 11 seasons and has been coaching for 20+. Canales was the WR coach in Seattle forever. I think we will be okay.

Everything revolves around Bryce This Year
Matthias replied to Panthers Fan 69's topic in Carolina Panthers
It's funny because Bryce spent the entire offseason preparing to play the season with an offensive group that included Thielen. Now Thielen is gone, Legette didn't really show much in the preseason (also coming off a relative injury), things like this might put a wrench in Bryce's rhythm. Too many of us think Jalen Coker is about to play like Randy Moss. But, it is what it is. -
Bring Renfriw back as a player/mentor. It just makes sense

Bruh you either get that stuff or you don't.....you don't think everyone preaches that same stuff you talking at every camp around the country!? I got respect AT but it's time to see what the young WR core can do. If you want a vet we got David Moore still BOOM

Also says a successful record for the Panthers would be 8-9 at minimum. Anything less let's us know something isn't clicking. Anything over 8 wins is over achieving -

Top 5 areas who hold most pressure according to AI: Bryce Young (QB): As the 2023 No. 1 pick, Young’s under fire to boost his 2024 stats (11 TDs, 10 INTs) despite thin WR talent, or he’ll be labeled a bust faster than a comet crashing into a black hole. His growth is critical, like Burrow’s 2020-21 Bengals leap to the Super Bowl or Carolina’s 2001-03 rise from 1-15 to Super Bowl with Delhomme’s emergence—step up, or you’re just a pint-sized promise lost in the cosmos, oh cosmic quarterback. Dave Canales (Head Coach): Canales must scheme around limited WRs and a porous defense to lift the 5-12 Panthers, or Tepper’s impatience will send him packing like a wayward space probe. His play-calling needs to mirror the Lions’ 2020-22 rebuild under Campbell (3-13 to 12-5) or Carolina’s 2010-13 climb from 2-14 to 12-4—fail, and he’s back to assistant stardust, you playbook prophet. Dan Morgan (GM): Morgan’s tasked with upgrading the WR corps and defense after years of roster gaps, or he’ll be jettisoned like a malfunctioning satellite. Smart acquisitions, like the Bills’ 2018-19 additions for Allen’s playoff push or Carolina’s 2012-15 surge to 15-1, are his lifeline—miss, and he’s a galactic footnote, you roster wrangler. Defense: Allowing an NFL-worst 534 points in 2024, this unit must stop being a galactic sieve or remain the league’s punchline. Turnarounds like the 49ers’ 2018-19 defensive revival to Super Bowl contention or Carolina’s 2012-13 shift to 12-4 show it’s doable—stay leaky, and you’re the universe’s doormat, you generous tacklers. Wide Receivers: With no top-tier talent in 2024, this group—likely led by new faces like Tetairoa McMillan—must step up to give Young viable targets, or they’ll doom the offense like a starless void. Elevating like the Rams’ 2021 WR corps with Kupp for Stafford’s Super Bowl run, or Carolina’s 2002-03 receivers enabling an 11-5 Super Bowl push, is their mission—flop, and you’re catching nothing but shade, you route-running rogues. -
I was literally about to reply and say the exact same thing. I don't know what the coaching staff sees in him.

Former RB Mike Davis on Rhule and CMC

I've got him on ignore, but if I happen to see his histrionics being quoted and see the usual personal attacks I go and give it the poo it deserves. If it bothers him that much he could try being less unpleasant, or put me on ignore as a mod requested. At the very least, he could stop insulting others just because he's not capable of understanding and accepting any scenario other than the one he feels validates him. Rhule-wise... Teddy tried to warn us. People wanted to hate him because he wasn't Cam though. Mike Davis, in the same episode, was highly complimentary of how former players are treated by the team. That was cool to hear. -

Need to upgrade S and ILB. -
Again, Theilen wasn’t playing for us in 2026 so why do we want Young looking to him? We have so much draft capital used in Young, TMac and XL. We need to actually make that work or we are going to be poo a lot longer than expected.

"That's why your team always sucks"

If the WRs are trash without a year rental of AT, we have bigger issues because we still need 2 solid ones in future drafts and because Young couldn’t elevate them. We need to evaluate the WRs as much as Young. AT takes away opportunities from the young WRs.

Yea I think. I really hate the feeling but something tells me like 27-13 or 27-17
