If a OL’men is there that you love it would be very hard to pass up. This fan base seems to just see Walker as a stop gap but I wouldn’t be so sure. He’s the same age as Ekwonu. He’s had a much more impressive career arc/progression than Icky has. He’s the better pass protector. As far as I see it if Walker has a good year I’d bring him back over Icky. Ekwonu isn’t some elite franchise LT. Playing next to Lewis is going to be great for Walker much like it has been for Icky. We definitely need to get younger/cheaper on the OL though so for this reason alone it’s still top of my list come round 1 if board falls this way Could also use another corner with Mike Jackson’s deal up after this season and needing a nickel but Corey Thornton looked really good in that role in the limited time we got to see him. However he’s coming off an achillies injury and you never know with those. Then as mentioned above we do still have a need at WR. As far as “weapons” go it’s kind of a 2 man show with Tmac and Coker and neither is a burner. If Jordan Tyson is there at 19 and we can have a young WR group locked up for cheap that’s a huge advantage cap wise And don’t forget linebacker. That clip in Devin’s Lloyd blueprint they used from Evero saying they need more intelligence there could’ve been left out for Wallace’s sake but it’s true. Wallace is lost in coverage. Pair a smart linebacker with Lloyd and that’s a group with Wallace and Cherelus being depth

I stopped worrying about the cap years ago. Its 2025. Very smart people get paid handsomely to manage it. They grew up in the cap era. Its not journalists and football guys tasked with complex economics anymore.

Draft a RT on day 2 or 3 and then see how Walker and Ekwonu shake out. Never skimp on tackles as at the very least they are trade capital. Theres no such thing as overdoing it at OT.

Absolutely. Also having Lewis, Hunt and Moton as a crew will help him shine too. A true win-win. We fill a glaring hole with a guy on a prove it deal and he gets to up his stock for next offseason.

I think more people need to watch his tape, dude is an absolute bulldozer in the run game. I genuinely believe drafting Kayden McDonald paired with D Brown and our improved defense that we would have the best run defense in the league.
