  2. This ^. I think that this team has been coached up about all it can be for the talent level it has. We have a handful of really good players, maybe a couple that are bonafide star potential, and a lot of folks we took because either we drafted them or they were willing to come here. I think if we want to see Canales really turn this thing around, we have to look at this season (no matter what happens) as a proof of concept work. And part of that concept might very well be that Bryce is going to make one heck of a back-up QB, that we need real work on the LB corps and that our DB situation is much better than anyone thought. But yeah, this team shows more capability than they have in many recent years, but the talent just isn't there to excel.
  3. QB on a rookie contract is a massive salary cap advantage.
  4. Glad hes not.. and of course the injury did he was on it last year and this year he was pacing 50 goals.
  5. He was definitely like this at Alabama. That awful game losing interception in the CFB Championship is normal Bryce. The Bryce we have been seeing his entire career. People say Bryce had no one to throw to at Alabama that is a lie. It is obvious his receivers made him look better then he was. Just go back and look at how Bryce played and it a painfully obvious his supporting cast made him better then he was. Bryce fooled everyone. He was never a 1st round QB and when we look back it will be remembered as one of the biggest busts of all time. On any other team Bryce would have been benched and never played again. But the Panthers are dumb.
  6. Yeah, this isn't the position of need to go with the paycheck that he will want. Also, he hasn't been good enough for a struggling Cowboys team to hold onto him, whether he wants out or not. There's a reason they didn't try to hold onto him until the offseason and trade for something, dollars be damned.
  7. Front office has done a good job with what they inherited to get us there. That’s more than I expected we’d have with our OL, DBrown, and Horn costs
  8. Thats fine. I see Baker Mayfield. And when I see Sawyer Robertson being mentioned we are in trouble. Hes not an NFL qb
  9. We're projected to have around $40M in cap space, around middle of the pack in the league.
  10. Being a Pro Bowler doesn't mean much as a Cowboy. They get in almost by default.
  11. Cutting Bryce frees up 100 mil in cap space and everyone gets a puppy
  12. I know its far out til now but what is the Carolina Panthers Projected 2026 Salary Cap and Salary Cap Space we have available as of today? What are some moves we can make with the current roster that we can free up more Space with extensions, releases, etc with current players to keep building this team going forward? #KeepPounding
  13. Not sure if injury impacted this decision. I’m assuming so but gutted for him
  14. That's somewhat intriguing, but we don't think outside the box, and he probably wants to remain a CB.
  15. You let someone throw a ball 30 times a game, unless they’re Nathan Peterman or something occasionally they’ll be good. Doesn’t mean they’re reliable or predictable or will happen more frequently.
  16. Red flags with personality, does not seem like a good leader, clearly limited physically, scramble first guy. I don't like much anything about him
  17. When I looked up pressure stats the other day, I was a little surprised at blitz % overall. We don't blitz very often, and I have to think it's because we don't get to the qb very often, and we are exposing vulnerabilities that we are not able to accommodate when we do send extra pressure.
  18. Has anyone looked at Luke Altmyer? I checked some of his stats and its intriguing for a late round pick. Need me a dude who can operate from the confines of the pocket and he also has some scramble ability.
  19. Sorry I just cannot agree with "he has more than enough arm for the NFL". Sure it might be a little overblown but its definitely below league average in my mind. He can flash it here and there if he can really get his lower body into the throw but I have seen so many skipped balls that land 5-10 ft in front of the receivers when he gets pushed off a solid base.
  20. Whatever wildcard team ends up 5 will win that game. If you don't think losing on home field in the 1st round of the playoffs is an embarrassment, then that's your opinion, and you are welcome to it, and it's cool to have different opinions. There is no disrespect in making that statement. There are better teams. The Panthers chance of winning the NFC Championship are 1 in none. The Steelers in the AFC may be slightly better, perhaps 2 in none. Just saying.
  21. This is how bad Freddie has been this season. I saw he was starting, knew it would be bad and a loss... So didn't watch at all.
  22. I have to assume they made them stick to just one thing. IDK that I would say it's the most glaring, either. I think QB play is.
