  1. Past hour
  2. I don't think this changes much. They just are throwing another body into the mix. Brooks is coming off an ACL Cohen is still an unknown working himself into a return as far as we know Hubbard/Sanders are basically the same dude.
  3. maybe we shouldn't of hired the dude that had the worst rush attack in the NFL in his only year as an OC if that is what we seek to be. And Tampa ran into weaker boxes than most of the league and still was horrible.
  4. the best ability is availability and penny is even less reliable then horn
  5. He's too expensive to cut this year. In 2025? Expect him to be in an uniform other than a Panthers' one. Plus we have nearly $50M in dead cap already, no need to add significantly more to that number.
  6. Honestly I dont want to cut him. He has been a good player int he league and when at his best is a CMClite. I would rather wait and see what he does behind a good oline then straight out cut him.
  7. No. Full stop. Period. You need svech on one in case they goon out on Aho or Guenz. In case you didn’t notice they tried. That would be an in game switch for a third period if absolutely necessary not a whole game type of thing.
  8. Freddie is practicing today. No line changes. Rods going to go back to Freddie isn’t he…
  9. We hit like 4-6 posts and whiffed on 3 grade A’s. I’m not worried. Oz time is important because it means we are dictating the game style, not the rags.
  10. Useless signing if you ask me. Guy has never been able to stay healthy other than one year. Would rather take a flyer on an UDFA RB cuz this dude ain't it and never has been unfortunately.....
  11. Even broadcasting from his mother’s basement, I expected the production quality to be better…
  12. Not such a bad thing if he's hitting deep shots and big plays like slants for 20+ yards. We'll win more it'll help him grow as a QB win win for everybody involved. Not looking to win it all this year but dam being competitive tough out a well coached team is something to look forward to.
  13. Today
  14. Yep they are so salty, just like that unnamed "NFC Exec" talking poo about the pick aka Jerry Jones.
  15. Is this more of an indictment on Brooks' recovery timetable or on how much they dislike miles Sanders lol
  16. Sanders has zero trade value. If you can get a few defalted footballs in the deal then so be it.
  17. Solid depth at least - I don't think we'll be able to count on Brooks until mid way through the season for any major carries.
  18. Indeed. And we are and have added weapons and protection for Bryce. Honestly in such a short time this is the most we've done in years for any QB. Bryce Young has been setup nicely. He's got to produce now.
  19. This is an interesting take that I'm not sure enough folks are talking about. Not the trading part, but the walk year that he's entering. Only guaranteed back on this roster next year is Brooks. That's not to say that Hubbard couldn't be re-signed....just seems more unlikely, than likely. Miles makes the most sense to be cut/traded due to his contract, but Chuba being a FA & the direction that the league is trending with not paying backs 2nd contracts, makes this a real possiblity too.
  20. As much as Canales likes to sling it, he ran Rachaad White into the ground last year. Almost 300 carries of nothing but being ground down to the bone. We will need guys that can run between the tackles, and I don’t think they like Sanders.
  21. He's 28 so sounds like a stopgap while the rookie we drafted rehabs and gets up to game speed. Certainly don't want to rush that. Penny was a pretty decent fantasy get in a pinch last year. He can produce but he's missed some time. Is he better than Sanders? Probably. We certainly seem to be very committed to a strong running game. Good thing to have for any QB. But if we are going to start scoring points we have to sling the rock when it counts too.
  22. https://www.profootballrumors.com/2024/05/panthers-cb-stephon-gilmore-not-close-to-deal Carolina currently has just over $8MM in cap space, some of which will be needed to sign the team’s draft class. That will still leave sufficient funds to make a somewhat notable addition late in free agency, and Gilmore could remain a target on a low-cost arrangement. With the sides apparently not in discussion, however, it would come as a surprise if a deal were to come together in the near future. Aside from Gilmore, other free agent cornerback options include J.C. Jackson, Steven Nelson, Adoree’ Jackson and Patrick Peterson.
  23. He is SIGNIFICANTLY better than Sanders. He is also SIGNIFICANTLY more injury prone than any RB that I can remember in the past decade.
  24. Interesting the canes opened up as favorites to win tmrws game. It’s like Vegas knows something…..
  25. I’d rather have a coach that’s going to install his plan instead of building around the weaknesses of a very limited player. We goofed on the draft pick but this is the path forward. He either swims or he doesn’t.
