Tried to watch but I couldn't hear much at full volume. Any quick hits? Maybe hungry and ready to prove Arizona is ass? Man is going to look great with Chinn under Snow!

Don't know. He was exceptional so I wouldn't think it would change much other than his normal self was great and would be better in that scenario. And yes price matters. That's true but it can be a deal killer when they are not good enough at that position. This guy in discussion doesn't look worth it unless we are talking one year get into the next draft and take a CB in the 1st if we still have it. The NFL has changed their rules dramatically to favor the WRs in those matchups. Everything matters at CB because they are playing a position where it's not fair. I'm hoping, from what I have heard from F/R/S, that by the end of next offseason we will have better options at CB and FS. I just don't think we have the luxury to make much of a dent this offseason with neglecting the O last offseason.

If anything we seem to be active earlier in the process where in past years we had to wait longer to get the roster filler flyers to sign. I am guessing that the constriction in the cap caused a lot of guys to not want to wait and take that good year of money now and worry about next year next year.

Sounds like Jets' 2nd pick is open for business...?
Waldo replied to TheCasillas's topic in Carolina Panthers
Sounds way more expensive then where I value Wilson. Honestly pick 5 is probably the sweet spot for us to move up if we really like Lance or Fields. -
One, this guy isn't a Revis level player or he wouldn't have been cut. Two, I would take Woodson over Revis everyday if we are playing choose the great CB. It's not just height. It's price, skills and height. If we are talking big contracts then they better have some height on them or be a freak athletically.

And Houston has a couple, Dallas still exists and the Jags run with scissors every year.

The one CB we looked at this offseason was 6'2" and isn't Snow quoted as saying he likes fast and long CBs? As long as they are on cheap rookie deals that's fine. We are doing what we can with what we have. So far, none look like they should be a part of the long term plans yet and someone has to play NB. If we flipped that entire unit by the end of the next draft I would be ecstatic with the process.

Like I said probably. I just can't discount the power of stupid.
-
Probably but he sure wants it. It only takes one idiot and trading for big money and signing are two different values. Someone might take him up on it now that they don't have to trade for him.
-
Don't care about PFFs grades. 5'11" and wants big money...hard pass.

That's what I thought, Reed was garbage and Miller was solid backup quality. Thanks
-
He is backup quality but still the best OG we have at the moment. Good move. Edit: I'm blanking also, this was the RG and Reed was the LG correct? The RG was solid but the other was not playable.

I'm just waiting for the Texans to make it worse, it's like their go-to move at this point.
-
I don't care what Fields runs or that Lance didn't run, they are QBs. All the other stuff first. Footwork is completely coachable. I would still take Lance before Fields as it stands.
-
So this is why we saved a June cut.
-
Because they are desperate and finding good QBs is hard. And none of that is football so there is a hope they can get him until it's no longer an option. You must be a newbie because those are bad odds here. Either way, we need to focus on the draft because Watson is going to be tied up in court for a long while, regardless of what any of us thinks. Until that is wrapped up he isn't a viable option for any team.

REPORT: Panthers remain interested in Deshaun Watson trade
Waldo replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
So much of the Texans is laughable that it is believable. With this much going on and with how they are run, very poorly and not based on skills or facts, it will remain a possibility, even if it shouldn't be. Hell, Easterby would do it and just say go's told him to do it and it would be perfectly normal in that organization. I'm just surprised their new GM or HC hasn't quit, it's got to be hell working there. -

No way we trade for Watson with the poop storm in full force. This would be a reckless and dumb move to make until his situation is resolved. -
I like the change of direction if we pickup olinemen that can actually do their jobs well. Maybe start with guys who will be healthy enough to be counted on. Going to be fun if they can pull it off.
