All QBs need a good line but I think this is especially true for Young. I think it will be important to “keep the strength strong”, but I’d rather do that in the draft.

It’s natural to want him gone and maybe there are DCs out there that could do better with this personnel but I would prefer the consistency. A new DC will also have a terrible D and we’d be waiting until 2026 to let the players learn his scheme and for him to bring his own guys. I’d rather give Evero one more year. If they don’t hit on the draft it will be another long year.

It’s clearly not all Everos fault but new blood might be what’s best. I’m fine with whatever they do. I’d rather they keep him for consistency and lots of help on that side of the ball,

Not even close, but when your defense is this bad he’s no longer the biggest problem. I don’t really trust him to come through in big moments. I feel like he could crumble under pressure once everyone is 0-0 next season. I’m not really sure he can take over a game, and I think it takes less to make him look mortal than other physically gifted QBs.

I think this is an issue of talents vs coaching but I’m not sure Evero can survive the off season(if he even wants to be here)

I would not be sold on any DE high up in the draft that isn’t a physical freak that can play the run as well as rush the passer. Considering how little talent there is on the D line I really hope they draft safer picks.

I don’t see the point of crapping on him this soon. The team will be in a chicken/egg cycle of suck for another year at least. Still seems like a talent issue.

I think this is the best explanation. If he isn’t playing like absolute doodoo the team still needs to get better anyway. Might as well roll with Bryce Young until the rest of the team gets better.

He went insane on that recovery, NFL is probably going to drug test him after that.

Can’t disagree there, it is surprising to me as a casual fan how the pass rush feels like the Fox/Rivera years when the D-line was lacking. Their game plan didn’t change and you just watched the QB have all day against 4.

Without investing in the defensive line the results are going to be the same every week. I don’t think you can coach around that. I don’t blame that on Evero. I won’t be surprised if he leaves or he’s fired as a scapegoat but I can’t really judge the defense or coaching when the front 7 is this weak.

I’m happy that he is no longer is playing historically bad. I’m also happy that the team is looking better. He’s thrown a good number of perfect balls that guys have dropped. I don’t think Bryce is the answer at QB. I think his ceiling is under an acceptable level of play for a franchise QB. I’m happy to be wrong as long as it benefits the team. I’d much rather trade him than pay a starting QB salary to him.

I don’t know of any coach that would look great with this front 7. Until you bring in talent they will continue to be a non issue.

I’m not sold on Bryce but this bad game was much better than his first two games this season or last year. He has shown growth. Hopefully he can finish out strong. I wanted off the Bryce train but he’s been playing well enough that I think he’ll be here next year. Is what it is.

Roll the dice with a 2nd round pick and this is what you get. Devastating injury. It’s a bust until proven otherwise.

I’m excited to see the defense improve year over year for sure. I understand if Evero leaves but I hope his replacement doesn’t require them to start over from scratch.

That’s such a positive for next year too. Fox/Rivera teams felt like they underachieved but this team really feels like they are doing all they can to stay in games. I’m excited to see them keep building the team according to Canales’s vision

I’m also curious because I still can’t really believe in him yet. I don’t know how he’s suddenly able to rip it over the middle and how he isn’t making the same terrible throws. I’m not confident at all him, but if he keeps playing like this he’s probably good enough to lead the team next year. You can focus on fixing the run defense and maybe that will finally settle the Bryce debate.

He’s got work to do but you grossly underestimate his funny accent, that’s worth another 2 years at least.

I listened to the game on the radio and met friend at a sports bar for wings to finish it out. That was a lot more fun than Bryce looking like total poo. Not sure what the future holds but the team is competitive at least. The expectations are still low so the losses don’t sting so bad.

I guess I’m just worried he won’t be better or consistent. I just don’t see him beating good teams in the playoffs. These last 3 games have been solid but I simply can’t get his awful start out of my mind. It would be miraculous if he turned it around. At the current level he’s playing I think it’s fine for him to stay with the team but I definitely want legit competition brought in for his entire tenure here.

I appreciate it! it’s great to see the ball hitting receivers in the hands at least. They definitely let him down against KC. Even if we are getting blown out as long as he can get the ball to the playmakers that’s good enough for me(at least for this season).
