Goodell now wants to make the draft 4 days instead of 3

I actually kind of like the idea from a player evaluation standpoint. If a group of scouts gets a few extra hours to look at the remaining players instead of having it be like a sprint in rounds 3-7 then perhaps decisions that are made in the heat of the moment are considered a bit more carefully and the teams that do their homework are rewarded a bit more. I know that every team has their "lists" finalized, but if you don't think that players coming off the board and staying on at certain positions changes the outcome then I would say that's an ignorant point of view. Being able to slow it down, look at the entire field as if it's a fresh draft with the second tier of players, and getting to take a break to catch some air might be a good thing for talent evaluation as opposed to getting three minutes to call a name.

From an entertainment standpoint, it's going to drag things through the dirt for sure. That's not even a debate. From every perspective as a marketable event this is a terrible idea. However, but from a front office perspective I would imagine that it would be well received.

Basketball will always be my favorite sports. I'm loving the playoffs right now. So many superstar point guards. But football have drama to last even through the off season.

NBA playoffs are my favorite session of sports time.  I just believe the NBA's drop in popularity has to do with the way it has been run since it's peak of success.

Also football has been able to run off with tons of popularity from both sports due to it being extremely receptive to the internet.  Twitter, fantasy football and a nice migration into the mobile market have propelled the market more than baseball and basketball.

I personally can't stand the NBA playoffs. They let too many teams in and it drags on for waaaay too long.

It is at least very exciting mot years, this year including. It gets dragged out when there are no interesting teams/players. I like the NBA playoffs format. The problem is most of the talent is in the West. Only 1 team in the playoffs really didn't belong (The Hawks) and even they are taking it to the Pacers.

reminds me of having a GREAT old family recipe and then suddenly start changing it each year....... or a natural beauty that get one plastic surgery and cannt stop. both in the end turn to shiit, but where near perfect to start with.  sickens me to see this.

I have already decided to boycott NFLN until the draft, and have been doing so for the past week. It's somewhat of a protest, but somewhat of saving myself from the reshashing of rehashing absurdity.

I already don't have the patience for day three, and certainly wouldn't watch day four.

It's hard to respect Goodell for these kinds of moves.

Someone needs to tell him just because no one has seen him take a crap on the field does not make it new and ground breaking. What's next, expanding the first round to little over a month so every team gets a day of coverage on NFLN.
