Will Norman see playtime this year?

I believe that this will be his final opportunity.  He shouldn't have any excuses this year. He's sat on the sideline long enough to know what's going on.  I believe that he'll either get regular reps and perhaps end up starting by mid-season, or he'll end up a back-up player or worse.

Yeah we all know, the final play etc but all defenders make mistakes. Don't forget it was Luke's holding that got us in that predicament in the first place.

You don't remember the Bills game if you think it was that one play.

He showed flashes but he seems to tighten up in games and not play as loose as he does in pre-season.  He hasn't shown he has that ability to play aggressive yet not get called for PI.

You could almost see his confidence get crushed last year.  Perhaps SS had something to do with it and maybe not going against Smitty will have a positive effect :)

He has the physical tools, but I don't know.  Hopefully he turns the corner.

    • KP is not a straight up carbon copy but they look awful close to me.  T
    • You are right. At the same time I don’t think people are watching games going come on Bryce put it on the ground or sail it OB or whatever. They just have trouble seeing him turning his 3 or four or five top games of 2025 into the weekly standard outing. Which you expect for the kind of money he will ask for (speaking for myself anyway).
    • In terms of comparing Pickett and Young's arm talent it's basically a push at best. Pickett is sitting at 6.2 yards per pass attempt for his career while Bryce sits at 6.0 Last season Bryce was 6.3 in yards per pass attempt. Only Justin Fields Spencer Rattler (both 6.2) Kyler Murray (6.0) 41 year old Joe Flacco (6.0) 44 year old Phillip Rivers (5.9) rookie Cam Ward (5.9) and Tyrod Taylor (5.8) had less pass yards per attempt than Bryce Young in his third season as a starter. Folks going around acting as if it is beyond the pale to say Pickett might have a better arm than Young are living in an alternate reality. You can choose to not believe your own eyes after 46 games but everyone else will acknowledge reality and move forward accordingly.
