Updated the OP - Panthers AT Bucs, Panthers AT Ravens

I just got back last night from my visit to Tampa to put all of the final details together for our trip down there to see the Panthers smack the Bucs around to open the season. I'm glad I went down there because even though I've heard great things about Shepard's, to actually see it and see what we're getting into all weekend makes me even more excited.

This place is awesome. It's right on the bay, has its own beach, great pool, watersports, live music every day starting at 11am, and the hotel was just remodeled in January - the rooms are great. It's a perfect place to dominate and make Panthers fans headquarters for the weekend.

I'm also really excited that it's WEEK FREAKING ONE AND it's a 4:25p game. To me, that's an incredible way to start.

Zod and I have already talked briefly about doing some fishing while we're down there. If you wanna jump in on that as well I will have some more details shortly.

So if you're interested in taking a nice beach vacation to Clearwater and mixing in some opening weekend Panthers football....here's a link to the details of our trip.

Baltimore

Baltimore was my original target until I found out that group tickets weren't available and I wasn't about to try and coordinate a large group piecing together tickets from brokers. Well....you know what happened in FA, so I ended up getting tons of requests from people wanting to go. I put together details including a hotel stay and our events, and one to just participate in our events. Tickets aren't going to be cheap. I looked on StubHub the other day and they cheapest were going for $115. The place we're tailgating has a 65' (that's feet) TV that will be showing the game, so even if you can't get a ticket then you can still stay and party with whoever is leftover.

We're also going to do a pretty sweet t-shirt for the trip that will be a tribute to Smitty.

The DC Panthers Fans will be coming down for the game and we're coordinating with them. I'm expecting a pretty decent turnout for this trip.

no single room packages, I gotta bunk with one of you weirdos? cmon RR

Yeah I can do a single room package. I always have in the past but there hasn't ever been any takers. If you're serious let me know. If not then I'll just assume you'll pay Dex's way and you two will bunk up.

I am semi serious as I do want to go just have to check schedule etc.  hmm I could always bunk with carolina-chuck but then I will need you to add a few things to my package, couple of trash bags, hacksaw, wood chipper, and a shovel and no questions asked. :)

You would take Chuck over me? He doesn't even lift.

    • Saw this show up in my new feed. Nice to see a couple of our rookies making it into the top 5 so far, even if it is a pff measure... From https://www.pff.com/news/nfl-top-15-rookies-week-9-2025 ... 4. TE Mitchell Evans, Carolina Panthers (78.7) Evans struggled in the Panthers’ tight win over the Packers, finishing with a 41.8 PFF overall grade — third worst among tight ends this week. He was not targeted in the game and played only one snap in pass protection. He did log 15 run-blocking snaps, and although he earned a 68.9 PFF run-blocking grade in zone looks (seven snaps), his 39.0 mark in gap schemes (second worst for the week) dragged him down to a 46.6 PFF run-blocking grade overall — sixth worst for the week. Despite seeing zero targets over his past two games, Evans still leads the Carolina tight end group with a 74.3 PFF receiving grade. He has caught all nine of his targets for 90 yards, six first downs and two touchdowns. Evans also leads the Panthers’ tight end group in PFF run-blocking grade (72.2). He has recorded a 20.5% positive play rate across 175 snaps.  5. WR Tetairoa McMillan, Carolina Panthers (78.6) McMillan had a better day against the Packers, recording four catches for 46 yards. Most of that production came in the first quarter via two 16-yard catches — one of which he snatched from Carrington Valentine’s hands, who was in perfect position to break up the pass. McMillan accounted for three first downs on the day, although Green Bay was able to limit his impact after the catch, holding him to 0.8 yards after the catch per reception. McMillan now has 41 catches for 558 yards — a top-15 mark. He is also tied for second with 19 explosive gains of 15-plus yards. Three of McMillan’s catches against the Packers came between the numbers, bringing him to 22 for 318 yards and 19 first downs (tied for second most) this season. He owns a 26.1% threat rate and a 76.6 PFF receiving grade between the numbers. He also ranks in the top 10 in explosive gains (10) and yards after the catch per reception (5.5) within that area of the field.
    • At least we don't need to hear overreacting about towels ...
    • Actually there is, try being a Charlotte Hornets fan. I mean the team fuging moved at its peak and hasn't recovered since and that was 25 years ago
