Panthers sign LB Billy Boyko

I think some are forgetting that DJ Smith is Luke's backup and a damn good one. I remember some Packer fans wanting him in for consideration of DROY back in 2012 until he tore his ACL. He never got to full speed in San Diego last year, so he should be ready to go this year. I think he has the capabilities to be the next Jordan Senn as someone previously said.

Billy Boy-K-O aka knockout

Billy-Boy K.O. That's great. Wait a minute...your username. Is that you Billy Boyko? You don't get to pick your own kickass nickname. That's not how it works.

Someone has to start a nickname thread, then after 50 or so posts about how lame and/or gay nickname threads are, you will get several posts of really awful nicknames to choose from. That's how it works. (Nicknaming for the LB unit as a whole and front 7 will take place in separate threads.)

    • After last season, it was the same question. And the answer most people came to was "If he doesn't make the playoffs, he's gone." He made the playoffs. No matter how it was done, we made it to the playoffs. He's safe. He's going to have a chance to keep working this out, even if next season isn't a playoff one.  I think we'll do better next year than we did this season. There's something being built here.
    • The NBA is a very fickle league. Kon is one of the hottest rookies in years and beyond just his play on the court he is a very steady competitor and that translates to the rest of the team. That has been a glaring absence with the culture of this franchise through the bulk of the LaMelo Ball years that's just being completely blunt and realistic. The enigma of LaMelo Ball is he is entering year 6 and still either red hot or ice cold. We need him to find that sweet spot. Logic dictates the Hornets will want to see this core again next year. But the clock is beyond ticking at this point. It's put up or shut up. Especially considering what the Thunder managed to do recently. I'm hopeful they can keep these wins rolling in and get some much needed playoff experience under their belts which will help substantially.
    • I think as long as the Panthers are competitive with Canales they should keep him. Pepper needs to repair his/the teams image as a place prized free agents aren't hesitant to consider. Just dont do any crazy poo for a few years.
