Taking a poo in the office - is there etiquette to it?

When I take a poo, like I am right now after getting the runs from Panera, I have to have my privacy. As I've learned over the past three weeks, there is no privacy in the office setting. Just now a coworker walked in and sat in the stall right next to me (when a different one farther away was open) and let all hell loose. I had to sit in my misery and bear the smell and sounds of his bowel moments.

Is there a certain etiquitte when it comes to pooping in the office? Like when you see someone occupying a stall, is it polite to go use a different bathroom? SCP this is a good question for you.

In a multi-stall bathroom, I tend to wait until no one is in there, or find another facility. If someone comes in after me, I try to hold back anything audible until the urinators clear out. If someone has the audacity to sit in the next stall, I let loose. Because fug him. He's invading my space.

'tis the reason I'm glad we have individual bathrooms at my office... one door, one pot, all alone to do your business...

We also have a men's and women's bathroom and only men's here... so some of us use one and some use the other.

Leave the fan on when you're done please. :)

We do too... at some point though, somebody took the "Wo" from the women's restroom sign and now they're both men's rooms. :)

It's game on for me. I'm not suffering just so I don't gross out some bro in the next stall. It's like that stupid REM song, Everybody Hurts. Well everybody also poops. I'm sorry if a dude draws the short straw of life and ends up in a stall next to me, it's man-up time or GTFO time. The one thing I refuse, and I emphasize REFUSE, to do is talk to somebody in the stall while shitting.

One caveat, I do not like walking into the shitter with another coworker and then shitting at the same time. If that scenario happens I'll abort the mission and act like I'm just blowing my nose or washing my hands. I can't know who I'm sitting next to whilst busting ass. Then it becomes like a race or a test of will.

In it's brevity, clarity, and accuracy, there is no better response than this.

    • Jalen Carter came into camp out of shape too. That was part of the reason he dropped considering he was thought of as the better defensive player pre-draft activities. It’s not a good sign when you don’t look great but it’s definitely premature.
    • We won 5 with the worst defense in the history of defenses.  I think free agency and our draft puts us over 6.5.
    • Leaning towards just ordering this tonight, but now I have no idea on size. Has anyone bought a bunch of jerseys in the last few years and can convey how the Game vs Limited vs Reebok versions all fit? These are both Mediums... The white one here is a Reebok one from 2010, and was when they had the "+2 length" on the tag and it was the version with the stitched numbers instead of iron on... the blue one is from 2022 and is the F.U.S.E Limited version also with stitched stuff, not the "game jersey" with the ironed on numbers/letters that they have the T-Mac jerseys in. The old one fits me fine, the blue one was always a tad snug on me, particularly in the shoulders I'm leaning going with a Large based on the CMC, but for all I know, that is made with a tighter cut due to the higher "limited" level and the "game" ones they have for T-Mac are cut more like a T-Shirt and thus will fit more like the old white one I have here, not sure. (and yes, I already tried going to a sporting goods store here to hopefully try on a Lions jersey to see, but they don't have any right now)
