Five cities you recommend when foreigners to visit the U.S.

I've lived all over the US and would recommend seeing landmarks rather than cities myself (Rockies, Grand Canyon, the gulf) but if I had to pick 5 cities I think you should visit in order it'd be:

NYC - doesn't get any bigger or fascinating city-wise

Los Angeles/Hollywood - same as NYC but with a western culture

Vegas - anything can happen here

Miami - lots to do all around the city and Florida

Seattle - my personal favorite, I love the scenery and progressive feeling of the city culture

Also keep in mind it really matter what you want to see in a city. I picked cities you could really find anything in.

I was born in Missoula (beautiful), lived in NYC (cool to visit, terrible to live), lived in Charlotte (obviously panthers), lived in Miami (awesome, but all dependent on your age if you'll enjoy a visit there), lived in Chicago (terrible terrible terrible place don't ever go there), lived in PA so I was close to Baltimore, DC, philly, and Pittsburgh (none are mind blowing, so unless you're into some DC landmarks it's all worth skipping), now currently live in Austin Texas and it is by FAR the coolest place with the most awesome stuff to do you'll ever see or visit in the US.

East Coast: NYC, Boston, DC, Miami

West Coast: San Francisco, LA, Seattle, Las Vegas

That dumb middle area: Chicago, Denver, Austin, New Orleans

There is really nothing else worth seeing for a short vacation. Charlotte is pretty, sure, but so is Indianapolis. Big deal, you'll be bored to death in both compared to my list. But if you want to see "real" America, go to Iowa, Nebraska, West Texas, Tennessee. There's nothing to do but hey, you'll get to see regular everyday white people doing everyday white people things. Yay, fun!

But in new York City for example you are lucky not to get mugged or accosted.

Don't be scared like this puss.

That said, I once did a five-week road trip around the US. It was a blast. Started in Charlotte, went to DC, went to NYC, went to Niagara Falls on the Canadian side, went to Chicago, went to Badlands NP in South Dakota, went to Yellowstone NP in Wyoming, drove down the Oregon coast (most beautiful coast in America), went to San Francisco, went to LA, went to Las Vegas, went to Monument Valley at the Arizona/Utah border, went to Arches NP in Utah, went to Colorado's mountains, went to Great Sand Dunes NP in Colorado, went to White Sands NP in New Mexico, went to Austin, then caught a Braves game with my dad in Atlanta before returning to Charlotte. Best five-weeks I've ever had.

    • The era that you played in, and, more importantly, who you played with actually matters. Honestly, that's why these issues will be debated forever, as it's just difficult to say that this person or that person is better when you're discussing the passage of time. As for me, after Rice, Moss and maybe Megatron and T.O., there's probably a dozen or so guys that can be argued about to the cows come home. Personally, I'm not putting Fitz, Harrison, Johnson, Evans, or especially D-Hop, Jefferson, Chase or Hill definitely in front of Smitty (and Colston ain't even in the discussion). Context and all that stuff actually matters. Things like the triple crown matter.
    • Some of those guys? Yeah honestly you can.  I would 100% take Steve Smith over Larry Fitzgerald, Harrison, even Mike Evans. He is 100% a better player than those guys in his prime. If you look at the numbers Smith is historically under targeted in comparison to his contemporaries. He was only targeted 150 times or more only once in his career. Fitzgerald for example was targeted well above that 9 different seasons. Had Smith played with Peyton, Brady, Greatest Show on Turf, or even with Warner in Arizona he would broken records. His 2008 season was ridiculous accumulating 1400 yards in 13 games on less than 80 receptions. All time he also lost a season due to injury in 04, barely played WR as a rookie. Got robbed of 1k season with Clausen. Thats easily another 1800yds minimum that should have been tacked on to his #s. The only guys I’d say for certain are better than Smith are Rice, Moss, TO, Megatron, Julio Jones, Antonio Brown.
    • I parked in this lot a few times. It would take over and hour to get out of that lot after games. Never again
