OK, Byron deserves some big ups for where he has come from, but let's not go overboard.  Last year he got manhandled more than a few times.  Consistency is what he needs to work on.  Turning on a switch at practice is nice and all, but let's make sure that the switch stays on.

Paraphrasing Voth: Marcus Lucas, Cason, and even Godfrey (though he has looked bad at times) have been pleasant surprises. Lucas has been the "biggest surprise".

The thing that I don't get is if Lucas has been so impressive, then why would we be trying to put him on the practice squad?  Something is missing. Can he not block? Is he not picking up the playbook?  If he is making plays, why wouldn't he make the 53?

It does sound like I'm crying haha I have allergies. Great job Jeremy! and Sammi I suppose.

It's okay to get emotional brother..

After listening to Jordan's 'This Is Gross' podcast last year it is understandable to feel like we really know these players personally.

I still get a bit moist around the eyelids whenever I hear Jimmy Clausen tanked in a golf match. Not only does that kid suck at Football, but now golf too!!!! Oh God, tell me it isn't so.... He is such a good guy!!!

    • If Henderson just got a concussion and will possibly/probably now miss next week as well, gotta think missing 2 games of stats at this point of the year might knock him out as he was only just entering the discussion the last few weeks anyways.  Same goes for Judkins going down today too, and Dart's god awful game likely removes him from the conversation as well. It will be interesting to see how the voters compare T-Mac and Egbuka if they end up with stats that are nearly identical. Egbuka burst onto the scene and put up the bulk of his stats early in the year when Baker was playing like the MVP front runner.  While T-Mac was just more consistent throughout the course of the full season (ex. Egbuka has 8 games of 42 yards or less, T-Mac has 4 of them, while T-Mac still scored 3 TDs in those 4 games, where Egbuka only scored 1 TD in his 8). It would be a shame if they put too much weight on the final game of the season if that ends up being the division decider, as I think T-Mac has had the better SEASON while Egbuka had a better peak output during that first month or so but way cooled off since. Maybe Warren goes off in the last 3 games (they still play tomorrow), but it does seem to be down to T-Mac and Egbuka right now.
    • Mitchell Evan’s put a block on someone that he drove them all the way out of bounds and to the bench. He absolutely destroyed the guy. He’s gonna be a beast for us if he keeps that up.
    • Yall... stop taking a sample size and projecting a role player into a permanent starter cuz he had a decent year after what, 5? Come on
