Name one small tweak to make the game even better

Brooklyn Bully

Remove the 5 yard limit for Pass Interference, it's unreal how the passing game as exploded in the last ten years thanks to that abomination of a rule.

Horse collar removed, I'm sorry but it's a freak injury, and that happens in our game.

Sorry the Horse Collar tackle has a unique action that tends to blow knees out..both as well.

It is way more unsafe than a clothesline tackle.

Change the Pro-Bowl into a week 12-13 bye week (that way you will have a big enough sample size to vote for players) and for everyone givens 2 week off:

2nd week for rest and 1st week for a skills week and a pro bowl game at the end on Sunday. Through out the week you could have events like QB skills (barrel throwing, pin point target practice, how many consecutive passes, and a huge dunk tank with 10 screaming fan kids)

Just think of the DE drills or CB drills or WR drills. It would only be like flashy practice

You could probably have a celebrity game the night before or something.

Basically do your all-star weekend but like the NBA.

Allow big hits on defenseless receivers, (I.e, Headhunting is all good)

Have more consistency regarding holding and PI calls.

For challenges, have them do it like college where there is a dedicated team of officials in the both waiting to review plays. I hate that you have to wait for some ref to waddle his ass over to the sidelines for the review.

Automate the end zone lines and ball so a it automatically senses when the ball crosses then end zone line.

End zone celebrations should be encouraged.

Bring back the Jacked Up segment on Sportscenter. I use to love watching people get jacked up.

Football is already the best of any sport out there, but it isn't perfect. What is one thing you would do to make the game even better? Small tweaks. Nothing crazy like Goodell is trying to do.

Me? I'd drop the play clock by 5 seconds. I think they did this in the Pro Bowl? I say that because though rather dull, soccer is 45 min of continuous action. Baseball won't cut to a commercial until the inning is over or there is a pitcher change. Other than WAY too many timeouts, basketball action only stops due to a foul.

But football is: play, stop, play, stop, play, stop, play, stop, play, stop etc. Sometimes it just kills the excitement. And don't get me started on the commercials. The worst is when they cut to commercial after a score, then show the quick kickoff, then cut back to commercial. Hate it. If we could just speed up the actual gameplay a tad it'd be perfect, IMHO.

My small tweak would be to remove Goodell from his position.

    • Hey if they could beat Seattle… tiebreaker head to head over GB, LARms, Seattle… win out the record is 11-6.  Now rap my knuckles for suggesting we win out, but that would be some funny poo. Talk about sneaking up on people.
    • I expected 6 wins this season. I need to see the Panthers blow by that now that they exceeded it by 1. I like how Canales has schemed around the weaknesses on offense in the passing game. I am impressed with the receivers, run blocking, running back combo and secondary communication in zone. Defense and QB need more consistency. The improvement of the defensive play calling and critical 3rd down and 4Q passing when trailing is going to be what I am looking for going into the playoffs. If the Panthers can consistently regain the lead after trailing over the next 4 games, I can see them competing in the playoffs and worth a reevaluation of the last 2 seasons' weaknesses. This is the prove it or lose it moment in their Panthers careers for Young and Evero. No excuses.
    • He's on the smaller size for a center (5'8" 175lbs) and he is a bit of a liability in the faceoff circle. But, he's a proven 60 pt player with room to grow. I'd still rather go get TT from Buffalo. Rossi would be a great consolation prize, though.
