Is joe webb making a case to keep three QBs on the roster

You know what? Start Webb at QB2 next game after Cam gets off the field...if Cam isn't starting then start Webb. That way you can see if Webb is for real or not. If he is, cut DA. Cam doesn't really need a baby sitter anymore.

Cut DA?

DA can win a superbowl with the first string, imho both DA and Webb must stay.

Cam's in his contract year. Kaepernick and Dalton got Monster deals, and we might not be in the position to pay him what the market bears. Just sayin' it's a remote possibility, but worst case scenario, it might not be such a bad idea to have Cam Jr. waiting in the wings at QB3.

Now, Webb might show he is better than DA, but I don't think the Panthers are going to cut Cam's mentor.

Shiiiiiiiiiiiiii. Lol We kept Armanti. This guy is a waaaay better QB. If he can play Charlie Batch for us I'd do it. It's a long season and if the chips were down he could definitely run the system IMO almost like Cam and perhaps be that emergency guy in the playoffs. Much better than Armanti.

I like Anderson, but he is 31yrs old and not mobile. If Webb shows out in the next three games, I saw keep him and Anderson. Anderson has a 1 yr contract and may retire after this season. If he does, we have a Cam clone in the wings and will not have to draft one next year.

You guys are hilarious thinking Webb will win the #2 or DA will be cut etc...ain't happening. Anderson is the best backup in the league and is also pretty cheap for such.

I doubt Webb is on the roster unless he is a legit threat at KR/PR. Has he done any special teams in camp?

We don't need a potential 7th WR. And teams usually keep a 3rd when the first two are questionable or both injured. We are nowhere close to either of those.

Nothing wrong with stashing him on the practice squad

It is like some of you guys haven't seen him play before.

Joe Webb is not Cam Jr. or even remotely close and will never be someone's long-term QB.  If we lost Newton, we would be drafting another QB in the first round, not relying on Webb.
