Kony Ealy Impresses In Debut

Give the kid a year, some bulk and strength training and he will be fine..he needs to be when we decide on the DE's next season

I forgot he was 270 lbs.  Give him a year with the professional strength coach.  Keep his quickness.  Wow.  I hope by year 3 he is a beast along with Hardy.  Be another sweet tandem.

#94 has forever been tarnished in my mind

i hope ealy can change that quickly

The way he wears the forearm sleeves is too similar to the fat #94 of the past as well - Kindal Moorehead, lol.

On topic though, I noticed Ealy a few times throughout the game but, I would still take Hardy going into next season over Ealy. The spin move for the sack by Kraken was a thing of beauty.

oh for sure. conditioning was a major issue with him. Which makes me think he just didn't realize how intense the NFL is.

but he flashed on the tv. and it was nice to see. And he gave 100% effort even though he was winded. You can tell he's got a ton of people in his corner so he must be a really good dude too.

Wrong. Ealy sucked balls and we have the testimony of several very smart huddler's to prove it. He wasn't the one man wrecking crew Gettleman promised he would be out of the game.

Just wait until the disappointed armchair GM's see you in the streets in NODA. You'll wish you were BACK on the field EVERY DAY with the players and coaches to put your blind optimism and ignorance on full display.

If he did in the regular season what he did last night I wont mind.  He will most likely only be in on 3rd downs.  So Conditioning will come over the season and shouldnt be a factor.

    • I just dont get the worry over losing a practice squad player that just went undrafted. Everyone just made their selections. The chances of a team wanting to sign him to an active roster after not selecting him is very low.  If that interested they would have taken him late to evaluate in person. As far as I can tell two qbs were signed off another teams practice squad last season and they were both going in to their 5th season.
    • I enjoyed reading this thread and the usual banter that follows. The only silver lining I can identify right now is we do actually have a couple of young QB's behind him and we do have a nice roster on both sides of the ball built around the most important position. So if the team overall shows some promise but we still falter largely due to a lack of consistent passing output (again) hopefully the decision makers can be free to make the best decision for the team going forward after the conclusion of this upcoming season.
    • I don't really follow the team anymore due to a variety of reasons and consequently have largely stopped posting but I agree that this is a lovely website and community. This forum probably kept me around for years longer than I would've stuck otherwise because of how difficult it was to stop checking multiple times a day. Especially appreciate how lax the moderation tends to be compared to a lot of places, the crew here does a great job. Out of curiousity I decided to try making a new account (solely for testing purposes) to see what exactly is wrong with the sign up process. The issue seems to be that it never sends you an account verification email, thus making it impossible to complete registration. This is likely something to do with the email server upstream, hope it gets fixed. Also, lol
