No doubt there will be the one's who follow the trend of lamenting a celebrity's death.  It's one of those weird things our society does.  Very weird.

 

I remember my dad watching his stand-up and it was one of the first legit guys he let me watch.  Carlin and Hicks were a bit later when he realized I like Richard Jeni for some reason haha.

Enormously sad news. Someone earlier said he was a genius and I agree. Has there ever been such a great comedian who could also be such a good dramatic actor? The parts he played...have to think they delivered/displayed values he cared about.

This news is shocking, so sad, and frightening. How could someone so talented who seemed to have it all...and access to the best help, die from depression. That is mind boggling. Can't imagine (thankfully) that kind of pain.

So sad also for his family and close friends.

The world lost a great talent. Over the years he has certainly made us laugh, sometimes made us cry, helped us to care, and through all of that made us think
