Thomas DeCoud Question

I have not heard really anything about him from training camp coverage or tweets about plays he has made. Have I missed something? How has he been performing? Is it good that I haven't heard anything?

He's a veteran reclamation project likely without much left who knows how to practice and hopefully be in the right spot.

You won't hear much.

I think he plays too deep and will give up a ton of stuff underneath, however it's good to have a true centerfielder back there.

 

On the long pass play where Godfrey got picked DeCoud showed good speed getting to the sideline.

I'm still wondering why we didn't resign Mikell. I don't know the story if he just wants to retire though...but he is still out there.

He is a veteran and has had a decent but could be better career. I believe our front seven will give him and Harper some opportunities to make plays on the ball this season. I'm really excited about what Thomas Decoud and Roman Harper will add to our secondary.

I am really excited to see him in our defense this year.  Atlanta's lack of a pass rush crippled him last year (he is a centerfielder) and they asked him too much to come up and get involved in the run game.  I think it is more far more likely we see '09-'12 DeCoud (14 picks in 4 years), especially with our front seven, rather than the DeCoud from last year, where Atlanta stripped him of what he did best.

I believe Decoud has been injured some during TC, not sure how much time he missed tho.
