Ed Dickson

As much as I'm excited to have a legit #2 TE, I hope Swole beats Dickson out for the spot. I just can't shake the memory of Ravens fans mocking us for picking him up. I don't even remember the knocks on him specifically, something like he is a questionable blocker or has trouble consistently getting open.

Either way, it'll be nice to have a TE behind Olsen who can catch the ball. Hopefully Shula goes back and watches some 2011 tape for ideas.

He has LaFell-esque hands. That's the knock!

So why would Shula have to watch tape in 2011 for ideas?  He was the quarterback coach and integrally involved in the offense in 2011.  Who knows that he isn't the idea behind the 2 tight ends sets we used back then.  He didn't run it that much last year because we had no one but Olsen that could catch.

Chud played TE in college, was a TE coach with Miami, started his NFL career as a TE coach.

Trust me. The two TE sets were his idea.

    • I think where they would be picked if redrafted before both classes have played enough football to really tell.  Baker literally looked like a washout with us after Cleveland gave up on him, then turned world beater with the Rams, got a prove it deal with the Bucs and has looked awesome ever since. Asking where Ward would’ve went had he went in ‘24 is just stupid.  I’m no GM, but I wouldn’t have taken Williams #1 either.  I would’ve taken Joe Milton way higher than he went.  I think Shadeur should’ve been a first round pick this year.  Point being, opinions are like buttholes, everybody has one.  It’s my opinion that Ward has that “something special.”  I get that feeling that he’ll be an even better pro than he was a collegiate QB because of whatever that quality is.  I think he’s gonna surprise a lot of people, especially being such an under appreciated first overall pick.
    • Where do we get our T-shirts and hats? Pretty sure this is the first championship ever in professional basketball or football in Charlotte!
    • Nice turnaround for Kon.  I’m still a little worried about his ability to create for himself and others, but it was SL.  Come regular season, he will playing a much different role and shots will be there for him.  He showed some reason for hope - and not just him, but the whole squad.  I suppose for the first time ever, we have drafted and acquired enough young talent that we actually not only competed for once, but won the whole thing in summer league.     Kon, Simpson, and Sims made all the difference.  Almost every year prior I felt we always struggled because we usually didn’t have a floor general/real PG to get us into offense.  This was such a breath of fresh air.  And look at us!  We finally are champions!😂
