A closer look at Bersin preseason stats

Kinda hard to project how well he's doing considering it's been against a lot of guys who probably won't have jobs in the next few days. That being said he has looked great against said scrubs, so I'm with others here that is like to see him get a chance against some better competition against Pitt. I would imagine he's gonna make the final squad this year...I think he owes a lot to Proel. Guy is a helluva WR coach.

Not entirely true.

This is him against the Pats second string safety, a 5 year vet.

Bersin has not only been playing against practice squad defenders.

Bersin is a deceivingly big guy. Listed at approx 6'3" 207. On tv he looks like he weighs about 180-190

That makes him about the same size as Moose.

How has he looked blocking wise? That will ultimately be a huge big factor in how much he sees the field this year.

Interestingly enough, on the Panthers.com Depth chart, he's the #3. I am not sure I am reading it incorrectly though, I could be.

I wouldn't read to much into that as it isn't the official depth by the coaching staff. We will get an official

Depth chart before Tampa obviously.

The last two game he was targeted 4 times. All 4 were receptions.

This.

When we needed WR help the most, Bersin and King step up big time.  I am not worried about Avant and Cotchery, but they were, are, and will be #3 WRs.

I still want to see Bersin in games vs. the ones, but I am satisfied with what I have seen. Hats off to him for defying the odds.

    • Young quarterbacks Drake Maye, Bo Nix, and Bryce Young have led their teams to undefeated records since October.   Drake Maye has guided the New England Patriots to a 5-0 record in that period, with 2,285 passing yards and 17 touchdowns in nine games. Bo Nix has directed the Denver Broncos to a 5-0 stretch, throwing for 1,976 yards and 17 touchdowns, contributing to a 7-2 overall start. Bryce Young, in his second season, has led the Carolina Panthers to a 4-0 run since October, accumulating 1,390 yards and 11 touchdowns amid a 4-4 record.   Undefeated QBs since start of October (min. 4 starts)   Drake Maye 5-0 Bo Nix 5-0 Bryce Young 4-0   Bryce Young when asked about his mindset during game winning drives: "You don’t rise to the occasion you fall back to the level of your training."
    • 1. Cowboys-No explanation needed. 2. Rest of NFC South equally. If I had to pick I would say Falcons.    3. Eagles- Both of the games I have attended there the fans were so horrible. The fan base is so ridiculously misbehaved, I’ve never seen such immaturity. 4- Lions- I have cousins in Michigan that grew up Lions fans and they are some of the most obnoxious people I have ever met, as are all of their Lions buddies. The NFL has been lucky that Detroit has been in the cellar for its eternity.    5. Tie between Bears and Vikings. Both act like Steelers, Cowboys, Niners fans do with nostalgia and legendary seasons but neither have ever really had them. They act like they each won 5 super bowls in previous decades but never accomplished poo outside of Chicago in 85.
    • You play the Saints that is great news for your O line.
