The most worthless 4th preseason game in history?

Jeremy Igo

Recommended Posts

Coming up we have Pittsburgh.

Not only is it the 4th preseason game which is historically yawnsville, but its against a team we will be playing again in a few weeks. Things will be held closer to the vest than any preseason game in memory.

Originally I thought Blanchard would play the entire game, but he has a concussion.

Joe Webb the entire game? Will they run more than the same 4 offensive plays all game long?

What do you expect to see?

I'm not positive that this game will mean the difference between making the team and not

I'm pretty sure the final roster is almost completed.

I tend to agree, but the fight for position on the depth chart will be a huge focus.

    • Apparently CSW lost his starting job to Thornton last year. If he can stay healthy I bet Thornton keeps that NB position.
    • I member him staying after practices with only to see he was wearing heavy weight vest, one of his trademarks. He also put in 10 years, right? People forget he was the ST stud that called the snap and made sure everyone lined up right. He was one of the "glue" guys that bought his "lunch pail" to work.... He was a willing solider, all teams need a couple of them. He blocked for sooo many panthers RBs- Davis, lane, Williams, foster, goings and when there was huge injuries he took over the starter duties and had a couple 100 yard games. If you followed hoover, he took the perfect RB path cause he was just a slow heavy one himself....
    • Walker likely depends on a couple of things. What exactly did Dan promise him, to start with.  How much other interest he actually had for a starter job at high pay is another question. It isn’t outside the realm of possibility that he could stay on as a swing tackle waiting to take Moton’s spot when it opens.    I can’t get myself to consider Icky as a viable anything until we see him back on the field.     Hunt seems to be a team player and good guy but I don’t think he is worth what he is being paid. I have him tentatively earmarked for cap causality in the near future.
