I like the idea of signing Hill in itself, but other than Brown whose untouchable right now for obvious reasons there isnt a WR I wanna part with for him.

We could go with 6 WR's and cut somebody else at the bottom of the roster, but that leads into the question of would i rather have Hill or some of the other guys available at actual positions of need, and the answer is mostly no.

I am sort of in the same boat. I like the receivers we have (shockingly) so I don't know who I would want to part with to get him.

But i can see the thought process where it would make sense.

I a really good either way. Just sticking up for my boy Hill because playing with the Jets is not fair for any receiver.

It would be like judging Smitty when Clausen and Moore were the QBs

Would rather we sign Marc Mariana.  Hill is nothing but a fast runner.  Coming out of college, he wouldn't have been drafted no higher than the 7th round.  The only thing that got him drafted was his workout at the combine.  The Jets went Raiders on that one, but yeah, he was all hype to begin with. (The other thing that helped him was he came from the same school as Calvin Johnson.  People took into account the offense they ran at the time was run oriented, so Hill couldn't really show his skills.  So he has been all hype to this point)

You can't be serious, look they all can catch. Your ability to catch when defenses are game planning against you and a top notch defender is in your face is the difference.

Yeah, because every team has 3 quality corners to throw out there. KB will draw their best, Bersin will get their 2nd or 3rd best Corner. You just never know what will happen.

I love how you automatically say Bersin can't win a one-on-one battle. Fear, it's a hellofa drug.

I mostly like our WR group as is, but we've got to be fielding one of the slowest groups out there. Considering we're also fielding what is easily the worst OT pair to go along with that, ehhhhh. If not Hill, fine, but someone who doesn't run the 40 in minutes would be awesome to mix things up.

Agreed. Like Zod said, many of the big pass plays in training camp would've been sacks had it been a real game. Whether that's because Shula is halfway to brain dead when it comes to designing plays, or because our receivers are slower than molasses, or a combination of both, I don't know.

I never used the word "can't" I said we don't know. Nothing he's done to this point would suggest that he can tho

    • I used to think Juan was a Zod alt. Agree he's a great poster.
    • Hawks said nah we good and sent him to the shadow realm aka the Wizards. Cold blooded. I mean they're 2-2 in a series with a young up and coming Knicks team largely through 34 year old CJ McCollum. Even if they ultimately lose the series at least they are there and have something to build on. I think Hornets fans are just beaten down and lack the objectivity to assess the situation. They think we are going to get so much worse if and when we finally change gears. Worse how? We've already been a lottery team for years now. We've already been looking to win our first playoff series in about a quarter century. We already can't get past the play in and in failing to do so we have completely embarrassed ourselves twice looking like we don't even belong. Honestly there is absolutely no excuse for a team like the Magic to be more competitive and successful than us in the playoffs. Absolutely disgusting. But that's just me. I was fuging lit when we got the Hornets back in Charlotte but that is old old news. It's time for these boys to get into a playoff series. Enough is enough. If they can't do it for 2026-27 then they need to make wholesale changes regardless.
    • Not one single pick that is asking me why we drafted a guy in the first place. It was a guy we needed and/or a guy that had certain traits making them stand out. Best of all, I feel everyone we drafted are capable of stepping onto the field this year and have a meaningful role (even Kuwatch on special teams). Obviously, nothing is guaranteed but I'm not seeing any huge flags on guys because they're risky projects or massive overreaches.
