Leave godfrey in fuging Tampa Bay

Yeah, I agree with you guys that Godfrey was bad. I mean really bad. Kind of makes you wonder how long Gettlevera will put up with him. Is the drop off to the next available Safety that much? If so, there are some sorry Safeties out there. It would seem that he is so bad that it should be no problem to replace him with some of the better Safeties from another practice squad, since not our own. He really makes me uneasy.

Heck go read the twitter feed of the best writers. They pointed out some of the garbage nicely before the TD occurred.

Godfrey isn't a S. Been saying it sense he arrived....hopefully that will be the last we see of him. Vets S are better playing behind our front.....he isn't the definition of a vet S. Just a bad one

just like you've been saying d will is bad.............it's a overreaction, we gave up 14 points......and 7 were gift wrapped thanks to that blown call.....there's a big test for the secondary coming up next week, let's wait before we start crowning and crucifying players

Never sad he was bad....said he was a bad fit for what we do and has entered JAG territory.

And Godfrey has no business playing S at this point

Today's game didn't change anything

again i ask where are the examples of this...........i saw a couple plays where he could have done a better job tackling, like the asj 26 yarder but besides that he played pretty good......................overreaction, please don't give me that he gave up a touchdown bs either it was cover 2

Give an example of him playing good. Your putting the burden of prof on us and we have given some examples but you discount them. Give me a reason to believe you because from what I saw he looked bad and I've said why but I won't breakdown every play adnauseam till I find one you agree with.

you've stated the tip pass.......which i've addressed as a fluke play, godfrey was in the throwing lane, the tip cause the ball literally to land just where evans would be able to catch it and out of his reach.........it's a fluke how could that be a bad play on his part?

i've stated that he made a nice stop on 3rd down and was flying to the ball helping clean up tackles that's about it, the bucs literally were shut out until the latter half of the 4th when we played soft coverage........they scored off of a bs call and the other score involved throwing curl routes all the way to the endzone. even with the call the td he gave up was on cover 2, and if you go back and watch the play you will see godfrey was covering V jax in the middle of the field.................him playing bad is a overreaction especially after the first game

Yeah, um, Charles Godfrey is not very good.

It seems like every time there is a big play that happens for the opponent, Charles Godfrey is somewhere on the television screen. He's close enough that you're sure he was somehow involved in the coverage of the play, but he's always just far enough away where you're like, "how the fug did you get way over there?"

    • Didn't  see this posted (since 2023) but since folks have been posting that you can't judge a draft class for three years (a ridiculous take), I thought I'd post this to see what people thought about the 2023 draft. Unfortunately this may not be the most interesting class to do this with but I do quite like retrospective draft grades. Would appreciate other's takes on this (and other recent) draft classes.   1(1) - Bryce Young QB: I am a bigger Bryce Young apologist than most (maybe all). I like the kid. But there is no way around it: This was a terrible pick. If he had been picked in the 4th or even the 3rd round I would feel pretty good about it. But this was the first overall pick that we gave up two firsts, our best offensive player to get.  GRADE: C -    2(39) - Jonathan Mingo WR: not much to say here here. He was here for two years. His yards per catch are on par with Bryce's yards per pass. Rough stuff. To date he has still never scored a touchdown in the NFL GRADE: F   3(80) - DJ Johnson OLB: a pick I hated as soon as it happened and an example of why the premise of this thread is honestly dumb. This was a bad pick when it happened. Most people knew it.  Then came training camp and he did not look good. Then came the preseason which confirmed what we saw in TC. Then came the season which confirmed what we saw in preseason. To date, he has half a sack in his career. GRADE: F 4 (114) Chandlers Zavala G: Honestly the best pick of this draft which really speaks to how awful this draft is. Other than Bryce, the only pick still on the team. He is mostly average or below average depth which in round 4 is not terrible. But he had a pff score of 43.5 and though I think people have unrealistic expectations for draft picks, I still would want a little more from a fourth round pick GRADE: C+   5 (145) - Jammie Robinson S: I liked the pick when it happened but ended up being a disappointment. He logged 1 tackle with the falcons last year and not enough snaps to get a grade on PFF.  GRADE: F OVERALL DRAFT GRADE: F
    • You gonna make me post Stank before every game?  I kid, I kid.
