1.) Has not been convicted by a jury trial

2.) Charged only with misdemeanors

3.) First-time offender

 

Those are all concrete reasons why he shouldn't be suspended now. Not to mention the very questionable circumstances surrounding this case as compared to Ray Rice. Honestly, I'm not sure Greg struck her at all.

I used to enjoy watching PTI and thought they were pretty intelligent, but I find myself disagreeing with them often when I watch lately.

 

Not sure if their opinions have gotten worse over the years or mine have gotten better, but they don't know what the fug they're talking about half the time.

Also, what has changed with Greg Hardy's case to Around the Horn and The Charlotte Observer this week as compared to last? Is there some video that has surfaced with him? No? Then these attention whoring, shameless, sacrosanct trolls should have called for his suspension months ago and not the second an NFL domestic violence case becomes the lead story on the evening news.

It doesn't matter if he's guilty or not. ESPN and the other national media is judge, jury, and executioner these days. They'll just scream at us relentlessly until the league is forced to do something about it.

The Ferguson poo should have told you all you needed to know about the modern media.    No one knowing what really happened,  some witnesses saying the cop shot him in the back,  some saying the cops story was right.

 

Media kept fanning the flames,  acting like that cop was the devil that should be lynched up..  all while showing a picture of the man that was shot,  when he was 13 years old....  describing him as a "Gentle Giant"  "Never would hurt nobody".  

 

 

New media doesn't just report news,  they sway things,  they get people riled up by only posting half truths, whatever it takes to get higher ratings and more page clicks. 

 

The big media outlets also get very nice benefits for pandering to corporations and government will.

I think it is hilarious that in Anchorman 2 the underdog news team made it big by reporting stories people wanted to hear rather than what was true/they needed to hear.  Great comedy is the satire that makes you seriously think long and hard about the truths conveyed.

 

I only listen to/watch independent media now because of this.  These guys are making peanuts and only report on what they truly feel is important.

 

Also I find the militarization of our police force absolutely terrifying.

I do not know what happened nor is it none of my business.

 

But if I had to guess, he probably handled her, probably tried to stop being struck by a shoe heel to the face... you know those things called animal instinct that kick in? Not everyone's Jesus or a Buddhist Monk and just take it. But from what I have heard I really doubt he conveyed death threats or actual intent to harm attacks. But was probably a little rough.

It's gonna be a dogfight out there amongst the media, special interest groups, and politicians to show that they're the leading voice against domestic violence.  Never let a good crisis go to waste, right?

Only way I would be for his suspension coming before his jury trial is if Rivera thinks it is a distraction to the team.

If it is, give him the boot.

I like how Fiz decides to ignore good points in the forums he is arguing in but chosing random people to disagree with. The second someone makes a non emotional succinct point that breaks his whole reality open he disappears. I personally havent because I get to heated but many more have made well researched points and he never argues with them! lol
