I know it seems small, but the offense is being introduced on Sunday night.

The Panthers would be in a no win situation if Hardy was introduced as a starter on Sunday. Fans cheer and they are insensitive. Fans boo and the Panthers look foolish.

If he is going to play it will be week 5 when all this blows over and the media moves on to the next big story. But definitely not in primetime and definitely not against the ravens.

With the way Addison played last week, and Greg potentially being distracted by other things, we might be better off if Addison starts.

Honestly I think the best thing for the Panthers moving forward is to cut him. It's highly unlikely that they'd sign him next year if found not guilty in court(which is probably going to move to the off season). If they suspend him for 4 games, they look foolish to the rest of the NFL community/fan base because they let him play week 1, then benched him, then decided on a punishment. It makes them look like they either don't care about a crime being committed or that they support him regardless of the "guilty" verdict in July. If we don't do anything and let it play out, we run the risk of losing sponsors.

So we cut him.... Best solution as a franchise. I'd highly miss him as he was my favorite defender and I would rather we had waited until November before doing anything but it's too late now.

Hardy is far better against the run than Addison. The Lions played to Addison's strength by passing the ball early and often. I'm not as confident he can have similar success setting the edge and playing the rush against big backs like Bell and Blount. We are a better team with Hardy on the field.
