How long is the Huddle gonna defend Shula?

Shula should take some blame for tonight IMO. He knows what his Oline can and cant so yet he puts them in positions to fail. like running PA at dumb times and not giving Cam quick passes. Look how Wilson in Sea has a outlet almost every play and Cam has nothing... Denver uses quick passes and picks to set up big plays yet Cam has to hold the ball forever on some plays. Our line does a good job at some points and Cam is still waiting for routes to develop. The only thing that made our offense dynamic last year was Newtons legs and time he bought with his legs. Now he does not have that and Shula cant recover.

The problem isn't Shula, it's Cam's energy before the snap. Too slow and lethargic. Watch most QBs before the snap and they are lively and full of energy. It sets the tone. Cam drags. Change that, and the offense will get it done every night.

This is a decent point.  We run PAs at the oddest times during games and they can be super predictable.  Not to mention out of Pistol/Shotgun with this crap OL.

He sucks!!!!!! I been saying it , I speak the truth chud ran our offense better.and cam sucks in this shula offense too damn conservative and predictable and doesnt use cam for his stregths . If we not gunna use cam to his full abillity then start anderson. Cam is not a pocket passer stop using him like one, were stuck with shula unless we loose and im so mad at the way we're playing both sides of the ball . Steelers suck and they are killen us

I was living in Tampa when he was there and because of that I was anti-Shula from Day One.  Nothing has happened to change my mind, although at times I think my disgust at his promotion should have been stronger

Not much you can do when Cam has .2 seconds to throw the ball and our run game gains -2 every hand off. If we keep at it like this we will barely make 9-7.

 

Ummmm, a good OC will change his gameplan if this is happening.  Shula ain't a good OC.  The commentators even did this whole breakdown of how Roethlisburger had the game plan changed to have more quick outs.  There are things you can do when your offensive line is shitting a brick because they're coming at you with 5-6 guys.

 

Calling deep passing plays ain't it.
