Why we lost...

Steelers ran the ball at us at will and we ran the ball less than 10 times for the whole game...  Coaching was the issues.

Penalties and special teams. The offensive line, maybe.

Special Teams and the O-line are the big ones. You can't run the ball if you can't block and you can't throw the ball when your QB is on his back.

 

I really wish we had an explosive back to counter the power run game. Paging Seastrunk...

If we are going to be dependent on the running game we will continue to lose.

They had some ok run blocking, we only ran it a few times, though. I would be more concerned with the quarterback getting hit on every pass play.

I knew we were in trouble when I looked up and saw Bersin on one side and Philly Brown on the other. Philly actually played well til the fumble tho.

Primary reason: Offensive line was awful against the Steelers attack.

 

Newton got hurt early in the game and never quite got right.  He had maybe one drive where he looked like I'm used to seeing him.  The rest were just off.

 

Defense was tired most of the game but didn't handle the Steelers well even at their best.

 

Special teams was an absolute disaster.
