Of all the games I have watched this one is the only one to punch me in the ball bag ever so slightly.  That slight sack tap where the pain is delayed for about 10 seconds and then you throw up in your mouth a little.  That being said, I have never felt more confident after a loss.  Reading tweets from the players and reading reports about the players attitude (Philly Brown especially) has me feeling hopeful. This is a solid team, we are 2-1. These guys will fight and play hard next week.  We do have a lot of injuries but Philly (excluding the punt) and Super Mario proved that we have depth. 

 

We will be fine.

Philly played his heart out last night. He made numerous catches in traffic and ran great routes along the sidelines. We got a serious steal and I'm not mad at him at all. We deserved to lose that game.

Kid was a bright spot in which we thought would take a long time to develop but he seems to already 'get it' just like KB which is a great thing.  Everyone has growning pains and this kids started early.  Hopeful to see him progress.

Philly exceeded by expectations as a WR. What made the punt return worse was I thought he had plenty of room to get some yards if he had just caught the ball.

Loss aside - most of us saw a UDFA rookie catch a bunch of passes in his first start, right?

Yeah. Norman is equally to blame for trying to pick it up and run instead of falling on it.

 

I mean seriously, what was Norman thinking? Was he gonna pick it up and return it for a TD? 

 

Didn't he make a similar blunder on a punt last year, when the ball hit a player with his back turned? Maybe it was against AZ.

It wasn't all on Philly, up until that point he was having a good game. There was a failure on all three aspects of the team; Defense, Special Teams, and Offense.

There were a number of reactionary fans immediately calling for his head, but that's the way it will always be on the huddle.

 

I was very impressed with how he stepped up at WR when called upon, especially considering he is an undrafted rookie.

 

Too many mistakes from the team all around, that's why we lost, period.
