Yea, hopefully the second half was a sign that they remembered how to play defense.  Eight full quarters (half of Pittsburgh, all of Ravens, half of this one) of complete sucktitude was enough, I guess.

Our offense was asking way too much of our defense.  They threw away so many good opportunities that the D gave them.

Yea my mom texted me during the game the defense seems to have regained their spark.  I replied having TD back is huge, being the emotional leader of the defense, if not the whole team, as well as a great player.

And a pass rush.  I wasn't able to watch the game, but I assume the pressure was better in the second half as evidenced by the lack of bitching in the gameday thread.

The last drive of the 1st half and the entire second half are the most complete we've looked as a team in weeks.

that still doesn't excuse the fact that for about 8 quarters the defense has been poo without turnovers.

 

i agree we put them in terrible spots this game. but something happened in that 3rd/4th quarter. i felt the energy from my couch.

Defense and special teams were hitting hard today, I loved it. Just brought that extra we are used to seeing.
