UPDATED THROUGH WEEK 17 - END OF SEASON

Well, I kept my huddle promise, and now my work is done. Thanks to all those who followed along and sustained me with delicious pie.

Developments:

  • Benjamin dropped his way to 2nd place, leaving 89 at the top (where he deserves to be).
  • Still, what a heck of a rookie season for Benjamin!
  • Cotchery had a very good season in my opinion despite his absence in the red zone.
  • Poor, poor Ted Ginn.post-12988-0-72674100-1419869939.png

--------------------

I've been thinking it would be nice to have a go-to thread for comparing WR stats of the players we let go, those we acquired, and those that many huddlers thought we should have acquired in the offseason. I plan to update these stats weekly.

Please remind me of any other players besides Nicks that were coveted on the huddle. Also, let me know if you are aware of a site that keeps track of 3rd down conversions.

  • Except for targets, which are obtained from espn.com

There you have it. Discuss.

gotta love that each of jerricho's catches are going for a little more than half of the entire field

First glance tells me math isn't a priority for this outfit. Not sure I'd bank on its veracity

Just a typo, dear friends, from putting yards per game in place of yards per reception. It's fixed now.

    • Having trouble finding all these articles saying the Raiders withheld information. Here’s the latest from Crosby’s surgeon: ElAttrache told ESPN's Adam Schefter on Wednesday morning that Crosby was "doing very well in the early part of his rehab and recovery from surgery to treat a significant meniscus tear and the related stress injury to the bone and cartilage in his knee. He is certainly on track in his planned program." "We truly respect the work of the Ravens' staff with Maxx regarding the contract physical exam. We also understand the challenge the staff faces when tasked to provide a future risk assessment based on an evaluation early in the recovery process," ElAttrache said. "This is especially challenging when dealing with an elite player like Maxx considering the level of commitment necessary for a team to obtain him. The timing of this assessment is unfortunate because the apparent risk will lessen as his recovery progresses and his return to performance over the next few months becomes clear."     So the Ravens excuse is the future risk assessment based on the physical, not that the Raiders withheld information. They found an excuse to save face publicly. They had the right to cancel the trade for no reason at all, but they’re trying to save face with the most acceptable reasoning they can find. I’ve heard and seen the Ravens getting dragged everywhere for this. You know what would be an easy way to put a stop to that if you’re the Ravens and the Raiders were actually the shady ones withholding information? Just come out and say that you were not given all the medical information. But they aren’t saying that. I guess they’re just taking the bullet for the Raiders just because?    Speculation indeed.
    • Two first round picks for a guy with very questionable knees who will be 29 this summer. Yes it is safe to say the Ravens got cold feet.
    • The salary cap is the reason we got Phillips and Lloyd
