The Most Startling Fact About the Blowouts

Everybody knows that we've had our butts whipped in 3 out of 7 games, but here's the scariest thing to me about the blowouts: we are getting spanked even without turning the ball over. When I watch other teams get blown out in the NFL, it's almost always in part because they turn the ball over; they give up a quick pick-6, fumble in the other team's redzone, etc. In such cases, it's common to feel like the team is experiencing some bad luck in addition to playing poorly. But not so with these panthers:

vs Steelers: Down 23-6 with 2:31 left in the 3rd quarter after only one turnover (early 3rd qtr. Newton sack/fumble).

vs Ravens: Down 35-10 with 11:34 left in the 4th with ZERO turnovers (unbelievable!).

vs Packers: Down 35-3 with 10:28 to go in the 3rd quarter with ZERO turnovers (Are you kidding me?)

This is truly startling.

I agree with what you're saying... however when we finally did get momentum back in the Steelers game we had a second turn over. Muffed punt recovered in the end zone for a Steelers TD which completely destroyed what momentum swing we had taken.

I knew the Ravens game was going to go like that as soon as I saw the first 89 TD... somethings were just meant to be.
