Glad you mentioned him.

You want to win Thursday and still have hope this season you make this move.

VJax would get to go up against Keenan Lewis leaving KB on the other side. You really think names like Jerricho Cotchery and Jason Avant come up in other teams meetings? This move would open things up for KB down the road as well.

VJax has proven he can still play at a pro bowl caliber level with guys like Mike Glennon throwing him the ball.

The last thing we need is a WR right now IMO. Our secondary is patchwork but seems maybe this crew from Sunday is able to gel...we need Oline help in the worst way immediately.

I agree we have other pressing needs but just because we have those it doesn't mean we should ignore this one.

It also depends who is all on the trading block and you don't hear any LT's names. Our best bet is to keep checking the dumpsters and streets for a LT and trade for either a safety or WR.

We will HAVE TO properly address both tackle positions this offseason.

It wont happen for many reasons stated above. I agree it would be nice, its just not realistic. With important contracts coming up and holes needing to be filled this coming offseason, no way Getts and Co. put this much stock in one move. We are gradually getting better. If we continue doing so, and doing so the right way, we can be good for a very long time.

    • I still think another QB is brought in Day 3. Grier is camp body level at this point.
    • We’re in a pickle. My best hope is we protect him and can run the ball vs most Ds and the WRs are healthy so he has every chance to not look like what he looked like in too many games last year.
    • I'm really not stressing about upgrading from Bryce. I'm frustrated with our inability (or refusal) to recognize overall bad QB performance and failure to seriously address the issue. QB is the most impactful position on the field, and we're not only settling for what we've been given to this point, but we've rewarded it with a fully guaranteed 5th year extension for a player that's never played 2 NFL franchise QB quality games back to back in 3 seasons. I can't understand how that's ok from a coach's or GM's viewpoint. Successful franchises don't do things like this. It just doesn't make sense.  We do not have a top half of the league QB right now. Since we don't have that player, we should be looking for him. Pickett isn't it. Grier isn't it. Bryce hasn't proven he is yet. Until you have that sure fire franchise QB, you keep looking. You're not consistently making the playoffs, a deep run, or a SB appearance without one.  What's the worst that could happen? We end up with 2 potential number 1 QBs? How horrible.
