Ron says we could be looking at another OT

There is absolut no excuse for going into the season with a UDFA DT as your RT and a sorry ass shitty UDFA RT as your LT.

Atleast have a backup plan if the things go south as we all knew it was going to... Not Le "25 year old UDFA rookie" Foucault

I think D.G may have over played his hand this time. I do think he is a solid GM and will have this team winning again very soon. But you just can't go into a season with UDFA's at major positions all over the field and expect to win consistantly. He may have learned his lesson that this just doesn't work.

No problem with the play calling in the redzone? Sounds like he wants to blame the players instead. I'm about done with Ron.

what he means is that he would've been fine with three red-zone trips and 13 points instead of 9.... the lack of execution is on KB...

this is the biggest indicator that RR is not the coach we need or deserve.   I want a freaking coach who isn't satisfied with anything less than 21 after three redzone trips!

We drafted Ealy instead of an OT. We brought in terrible FAs. Terrible. It isn't like I'm playing Monday morning GM. No one wanted this sh!t to happen when it was happening.

I could not agree more with you. Like you said, it's not like we are just overracting to this. I know me and the majority of Panther fans (especially on here) hated all the decisions in the offseason. I highly disagreed with franchising Hardy (even before the incident), I hated the Harper and DeCoud signing, I hated the Steve cut, I hated that we didn't even attempt to draft or sign competent O-linemen (which we could have if we didn't franchise Hardy), etc. I could go on and on about the horrible transactions Gettleman made this offseason. I am not even going to say I know more than a GM, but some of this stuff was common sense. The people saying "well, we had no money to sign anybody" is partly true, but stretching it. Gettleman had options. He just chose the wrong ones this year.

Of course they used most of the money we had on Hardy. With that money, we could have signed Veldheer, who is currently playing on an Arizona Cardinals team who is tied for the best record in the NFL. Keeping old man Palmer upright.

I agree with you. I was not in favor of tagging Hardy. I would have much rather signed a safety and OT.

But we did still try and sign a starting calibre OT and did not get him.

They have been looking ever since FA, could not afford the big FA's, nothing left after that.  You guys act like there is a room full of OT's somewhere just waiting on our call.

don't get me wrong, I hope there is, but.....

I refuse to believe there isn't someone, somewhere who is available and better than either Bell or Chandler.  It just seems impossible that there isn't.

The play calls would've actually worked if our OL didn't go full tard and KB could catch the simple ones.

2nd Drive:

1st and 7: Screen Pass to Stew, would've scored if Foucault didn't completely ignore his man and for whatever reason doubled with Kalil.

1st and 3: Read Option, crash down on Stew, Cam keeps, Kalil can't stay on his man and Foucault can't block his.  Cam gets taken down by both LBs with a S waiting a couple yards into the EZ.

Following play, KB watches the ball go right through his hands.

3rd and 1, Heavy set, brought in Folkerts.  Foucault gets pushed back a couple yards and gets in the way of Norwell pulling, Stew gets stuck 2 on 1 3 yards behind the LoS.

It was easily set up for us to score 4 different times in one drive, and everyone melted down.

I think Turner will be fine. Isn't he only 21? And he is already that big? He's only going to get better and stronger. Amini has sucked since the jump. How bad is he? Sometimes I forget he isn't Mackenzy Bernadeau.

And I agree, Norwell looks the part. There was a marked difference in the run game yesterday, and that starts with the guards... but again, that brings into question why it took that long for him to get playing time.

I'll have faith in Trai since that kind of sheer power and agility in a body like that is just amazing, and you're right, he just turned 21 in June.

As for Amini, I don't even know anymore.  He was starting to look like he was getting the hang of it last season until he went down with an Achilles injury.

Norwells looked pretty decent though.

No we didn't. Bill Voth has said this 20 or more times. They never offered Anthony Collins a contract or even got into serious discussion with his agent. It never happened. Dave got caught with his pants down on the OT position.

That elbow injury had nothing to so with some of the whiff blocks he threw yesterday.

Rivera will bench CBs who have a bad day and lose focus of their technique, but he will stick with offensive linemen who are out of position, missing blocks, and then standing around watching Cam after. Makes no sense.

Next man up is all I have to say. Someone will eventually surprise and want the starting spot enough to hustle and give up their body to protect Cam.
