Just for the record, Thursday night games should be broadcast on a local station for those in the Carolina areas without NFL Network. They always have been. Check your TV schedule.

People outside the Charlotte market don't get it

I missed the giants game in 2012 (thankfully) in chapel hill because time warner didn't carry NFL network then. There were no local stations carrying the game either.

No.  They are aired locally in the Charlotte market.  They aren't aired locally in the rest of the markets in the Carolinas afaik.

I don't know if the third spur is local or not but you need to have some serious money making business discussions with the hotel. Which tv would pull in the most dollars, the one in a lobby or the one in a bar? And while in said bar what would have patrons spend more, watching Elementary or watching the 2 top NFL teams in the South battling for 1st place? Talk them into switching the cable feeds for the night. I know it can be done. They'll thank you later.

I do wonder if local stations will be less likely to opt into their option of picking it up now that Time Warner offers NFLN.  I think that is why Columbia, SC picked it up in the past.  

 

I am one of those people who recently unplugged from cable.  So upon further reflection, now that TWC offers NFLN I doubt a local channel will pick it up.  That sucks.  I have missed 2 games since the start of the Fox era.  Might be 3.  Probably can find a crappy live stream where I can make out most of what is going on.

      He's handing off play calling duties to fuging Brad Idzik as well so, either that mouth breather can run the playbook and Canales can grow as an all around head coach or it will be a horrible decision and both of them and BY can screw off. I'm fine with that as long as it isn't just another excuse for BY to get another year with another coach worthy of working around his limitations as a qb.

      I understand why people say things like it could be worse in relation to Tepper but it just doesn't jive for me. Are the optics bad? Yes. Would I want her to be the owner of my team? No. But I mean she's only been owner for a year and the Colts overall are a better run organization. As far as I know they've also never had the distinction of having the worst win percentage in all of professional sports either. Tepper has owned this team for 8 years and about the only thing that has been consistent has been the ability to continue to find different ways to achieve new lows. Even now people are saying things are different yada yada but we said these same things at certain points under Rhule Fitterer and Reich. I'm going to wait to see how the rubber meets the road this upcoming season before I make any strong conclusions about anything in relation to the longevity under this franchise going forward.
