The Steelers have the blueprint on how to utilize Cam

Truth of the matter is when a team is winning, all of a sudden everyone thinks they know how to draft. Just like last year everyone was all over SEA's CBs.

No one was talking about Steeler's WR corps last season, not on here at least. There are very few WRs that will make any QB look good, for the most part, you need a good QB to make an average WR look like a very good one and that is why I cited Sanders never having a 100yd game until he got to DEN.

You also maybe unintentionally are showing what scouting can do since Denver went after Sanders.I think Sanders was picked both as insurance for Welker and matching up better vs Seattle.

Todd Haley is on par with Shula. Issue is Haley has an offense that features complete talent....Shula doesn't have an OL, dated RBs, zero speed. Talent makes it easy on a D....Steelers can stress a D

He still brought KC out of the NFL basement within two seasons.  He didn't make it through that third season there but I don't get the bad rep he receives.  KC had a brand new FO when he was hired and I thought did well given the circumstances.

Difference between Ben/Cam= Ben has a serviceable o-line and above average receivers, Cam has NO o-line and receivers that wouldn't start at the local nursing home...

there were a few years where Ben had an atrocious oline ... his critics those days however said it was just a case of him holding on to the ball too long. Either way, I'm a firm beleiver that if you have 5-7 seconds back there, you gotta make a play.

i think you get 4 secs max in the pocket.

once over 4 secs you HAVE to be out of the pocket. the game speed and routes are designed to fit snugly in a 4 sec window from the pocket. this is why i keep banging the roll out from the pocket drum.

The biggest difference is Ben's ability to look off defenders and use super human pump fakes.  When Ben's faces interior pressure he can still complete passes.   Not sure when the last time I've seen Cam use a pump fake was.

2 Superbowl Rings is also a big difference.  If Cam could bring us 2 rings he'd get a free pass to suck the rest of his career if he wanted to.

He didn't say we should let Cam walk but u can't ignore Cams high passes. God, huddles are so reluctant to admit it.

you put a horrific OL in front of Payton Manning.....watch how his mechanics and accuracy alter.

    • lol, that second part is quite literally one of the dumbest things ever. Having or not having guaranteed contracts has absolutely nothing to do with how much these billionaires have to pay.  Because there is a hard cap and a minimum cap spend requirement, and teams either use their cap or roll it over to use it all the next year, so the owners have to pay the same amount of money in the end no matter what. Having fully guaranteed contracts in the NFL would only hurt salary cap management, and thus would end up screwing over the team and its fan base when teams kiss on signings as they take up cap room that is needed to improve the roster. Look at the Browns with Watson, they gave him the fully guaranteed deal and all it’s doing is sucking up massive cap space now.  If they hadn’t done that, the owner would still be paying the same amount of money each year as that cap space would still be used elsewhere. If you want to argue for fully guaranteed contracts because the players deserve it, that’s an entirely different argument and a fair one to discuss.  But anyone against fully guaranteed deals isn’t doing it to argue for the billionaire owners.

    • Ryabkin could be the steal of the draft, he was a Top 10 pick heading into last season and had a rough year.  Lots of GMs passed on him because of that and his workouts. Pick has really high upside and Svech should be able to translate Rod tearing his arse a new one for making dumb plays since Svech has had several years of it.  🤣😂
