Anyone Else Catch The Aftermath Of The Ninth Sack?

I get it but he shouldn't have done that.

Before I get flamed I know he's taking an absolute beating so I get it. This season is officially over

I agree. Didn't like that either. Not a Bell fan. He sucks and may be in over is head, but he's still your teammate. You're out there together in the trenches. Douche move sorry

Of course it was Byron Bell's fault per usual... Cam turned over, looked up in disbelief, and here comes Byron jogging over with his hand extended to help Cam up lol... How nice of him... So Cam turns back around towards the linesman and tosses him the ball and gets up himself, leaving Byron to walk back to the huddle himself.

I knew he would get tired of that crap eventually.

Also of note, Gruden said Cam wasn't talking to anyone between plays or doing anything other than calling the play in the huddle... Pretty indicative of how he feels about his horrible "supporting cast."

Additionally, all of the post game shows I've watched, every former player and Daniel Jeremiah, a former scout, said Cam has no help and can't be evaluated fairly because he doesn't have anything to work with.

I just thought him turning down Bell's hand up was very telling of where our team is. I would love it if Cam would come out and rip our coaches and FO a new one, but alas, he can't.

the coaching staff needs to pull Cam and these damn players to the side with the iPad to go over plays instead of allowing him to walk around sulking.. They need to refocus him and teach his ass!!! But I think Rivera showed his cards tonight.. He has list touch with the team!!

It was a tough loss, you can't read into every little thing. Most of the players were clearly frustrated.

At the end of the day though, a QB can only take so much punishment due to poor OL play. I don't think the arm chair quarterbacks in here would be too thrilled after being repeatedly pummeled into the ground the second the ball is snapped week in and week out.

If my teammate is directly responsible for getting the living piss beat out of me, i'm calling his ass out or showing him up.

If it's because he can't perform his job, as in this case, then I go beyond the teammate and address it with who is responsible for it. Problem is, they ignored it for so long, there really aren't any viable alternatives.

I literally saw Bell barely or not at all touch a guy on at least 3 or 4 of Cam's almost double digit sacks today.  Amini got bull rushed or didn't touch anyone on another 2 or 3 at least.  Any job in the world, if a guy is negligent and harmfully impacting others he gets at the very least his ass chewed if not outright fired.  Imagine if they were in the Army and Bell was on watch but fell asleep numerous times getting fellow soldiers killed.  You think people would politely nudge him awake and be like "there there good buddy, you gave that great speech back in boot camp so we're going to keep babying you along but you REALLY should try to stay awake.  We're losing too many soldiers to your incompetence."  I think not.

Cam should rip the O-line a new asshole. There's nothing worse than doing everything you can while your team mates are fugging helpless. If you're a NFL player you better be giving it everything you've got and then some. Bell, Chandler and Silatolu are obviously outmatched, but there's no way they're giving it their all on the plays where blockers are coming in untouched, or they're just being flattened.

I think Bell's read, recognition and reaction is just too slow.

He does a lousy job of seeing where the pressure is coming from.  Now maybe he could recover from that if he were more athletic than he is, but obviously he's not.  Likewise, he might be good enough athletically if he were better and quicker at seeing what was happening.

He's just a bad overall package.

    • You’re playing madden we’re talking real football stuff…. He does have you seen his special on internet he def thinks he’s getting paid
    • Without the team having an identity kinda hard to predict what they value.  They either are really trying to build a balanced team, or preparing for another swing at qb if Bryce doesn’t pan out. Seems like we value the o line but the $ spent there has been underwhelming besides Lewis, you could say it’s because of injuries but still hasn’t been worth the investment. as already stated, the whole handling of Bryce young as a whole has been ass backwards, we spent the years we’re supposed to take advantage of having a qb with a lower cap hit, building the team up to be adequate. now It appears, key word appears, the saints have done it correctly, which is painful to even think about. Regardless, I hope the front office has paid attention to qb contracts recently, such as Tua, Kyler, Daniel jones(pre colts) and don’t settle for subpar qb play at franchise qb rates
    • This is the flaw in your logic.  Cutting 3 of our best players will somehow move us from whatever we are to "compete". Even the most Young super fans are not predicting a ceiling above top 10-12, and that will not nearly cut it.  Someone will need to break the log jam of QBs getting nothing or North of 50. Our qb is at best a middle ground, lets hope it will be us that also manage to pay the worth at about 100 over 3 years.  And before you jump me, yes that is only of he improves.
