Some may not take this seriously, but here's a scenario for you

Having the number one pick

  1. 1. How would you handle the number one overall pick in 2015 in terms of trades?

    • Trade the pick and build around Cam
      10
    • Trade Cam, draft Mariota, and build around him

Let's say we don't win another game this season.  The Raiders and Jags miraculously wins 4 games, and we end up with the number one overall pick.  Would you trade that pick away for as many picks you can get, and build around Cam?  Or would you draft Mariota (I wouldn't consider Winston), trade Cam for as many picks as possible, and build around Mariota?

I would probably trade Cam and build around Mariota.  They are both very athletic QBs, but Mariota can maneuver better than Cam.  Furthermore,  Mariota won't have to come in and prove his worth as a passing QB.  Mariota could be an even more athletic version of Andrew Luck.  I understand all the problems with the O-line and the talent that is present around Cam.  Yet this idea that Cam has to prove himself to everybody is getting old real quick.  How many commercials does Cam have showing that chip on his shoulder?  That's a lot of baggage for one guy to carry.  I've seen enough of Cam to say I don't think he's worth the big time contract.

I think no matter the scenario, it's certainly possible that Gettlemen could trade Cam, along with firing Rivera.  Neither of these guys were "his" choices.  If Gettlemen is seeing that writing on the wall for him, he may start fresh this offseason, and bring in "his" guys.  So in this scenario of us having the number one overall pick, as unlikely as that is, I'm pretty sure trading Cam is a definite possibility.

No, he wouldn't. Manning would have enough sense to get rid of the ball faster.

To who? Guys can't even run a route.

A couple of sacks are on Cam not getting the ball out. The majority tonight were o line miscommunication and defense getting free runs at QB.

Can't throw the ball if no one is open or haven't even made one move to get open yet.

Nobody should take this question seriously.

But I'll play the game.  Trade down.  In a perfect world get a top LT with our first pick, a top 3 WR with our second (late 1st, if anyone has two 1sts this year..).  Good S in the 2nd, RT in the 3rd, RB/CB in the 4th, CB/RB in the the 5th, G in the 6th and 7th.  Win.

    • Sounds encouraging.  I agree about the LB....I was CERTAIN second round would be a LB.  I would also like to add that, on paper, DL looked solid--but only 1 performed well in 2025 (2 if you count Robinson, who is now gone).  I am guessing they feel that the LB play will improve with the improvement up front--logical.  Remember the old rule (not sure who said it first) "You build from the inside out, front to back."   We drafted, in my early opinion, a starting NT and C this year.  inside out, front to back.
    • Agree--I think a mid-level tackle but he could prove to be an elite G--not sure how he would do at RT--or maybe Freeling---lotta moving parts--but I would look at him at G if mid-level T is his ceiling--he has been improving, but the injury..
    • Worked an event that many players were at including Ickey. Talked to him, looks and walks around good/normal. Taylor Moton released a new Tequila with his partner Matt Kahlil. Taylor looks great and is psyched for the season. He's such a good guy. Even Derrick Brown, very focused. It's like a quiet, calm I'm gonna rip through you confidence. Building his forever home and sticking around CLT. Bryce stopped in, but was upbuilding talking to the guys, not drinking, smoking cigars like others. There was little different aura with them, almost a quiet confidence, some fun. Reminded me of the 2013-2018 era. Had an event Tuesday with TD (he was there last night too) and he thinks the team looks real good, maybe just needs an another LB. He loves the Devin Lloyd pick up.  No negative comments, just giving a nice update on some players.
