but do i start with episode 1 or watch it like i did starting with a new hope?

this isn't about how bad episodes 1,2,&3 are. i think that's pretty much understood, but regardless i want her to get the whole story.

so where do we start? she's 7 years old, btw, so things in episode 1 might catch her interest more.

i'm curious also, how differently would you have viewed certain things in 4,5,&6 had you known the things that happened in 1,2, &3? would it spoil the surprises too much?

i can't say too much about it now because my daughter is here watching me type and reading as i go.

I would watch it like you and most of us watched it.

Start with the classics and see if shes even interested , then go to the newer ones , the big reveal of darth vader being the father is one of the most important parts of the stories and watching the prequels would ruin that i would think no matter the age.

    • Bryce and Dave will determine how many games this team wins next year. It’s not on the WRs. The RBs. LBs. This is about 2 things: 1. Can Bryce continue to come up big in the few key downs that decide most games?  2. Can Canales evolve his play calling to counter punch like the big boys do. Half time adjustments.  teams that score 30+ points on the regular win more games than not. That’s on Bryce and Dave. The offense is top 10 at every position group, save for TE and QB. A baller TE is gravy but not crucial when the receivers are dudes.  The defense is the defense. It’ll be better this season, hopefully by a large margin, but Dave/Bryce is really where it’s at.
    • Normally I'd wholeheartedly agree with this. But I feel like teams figured out this offense after the Raiders game. Bryce was so inept the first 2 games that we couldn't really even run the offense. Dalton's first game showed what we had. But after that game, coverages got a lot tighter and windows were smaller. When Bryce came back in, his ability to extend plays made a big difference. It's really difficult to stop a QB that can beat/escape 1on1 tacklers. It puts a lot of pressure on the defense when you blitz. And he was completing throws in tight coverage with anticipation. Point being Bryce wasn't throwing to wide open receivers that were schemed open by the offense. Occasionally yes. But not often.
    • With the additions we've made to our roster combined with the state of the division and the conference as a whole there is no excuse for this team not to make a legitimate push for 8-9 wins. Anything less is honestly inexcusable. There will be no more free passes for being a doormat in this iteration of the league where even mediocre teams are competing for playoff spots.
