What sort of rage is unleashed if Olsen isn't retained?

I was thinking about this. He's our best pass-catching target and is a FA after 2015, plus he really wants to stay.

Historically, that means Gettleman doesn't want him back. He's a great locker-room presence though, which is in his favor. However, Olsen is unlikely to re-sign for $5 and a four-piece Bojangles' meal, so Gettleman may have to pull out a $20 bill or maybe more.

Do we think Olsen will be kept here long-term or is it likely he's playing somewhere else in the future?

If we got rid of Davis for cap purposes i'm not sure I could support the team anymore.

We have been a "soft" FO for a very long time, I feel that time is drawing to an end.

I want to see Davis leave here with the Panthers being the only team he ever plays for, but that's tough to do these days.

CJ, Kalil, and TD are going to, at some point, be too expensive to keep around.  Just the way it is in today's NFL.

Olsen is one of the most consistent players on the team.  He is a top 5 TE and deserves to be paid as such.  You're not going to draft a guy as good to replace him and there's no FA TE's that are as good as him.  He should be one of those "career Panthers" that Steve Smith should have been but, Dave "IDGAF" Gettleman would cut his own Grandmother if she didn't bake his cookies big enough.

I think that TD is sensing his time is coming to an end. He has made quotes in the past and at training camp that kind of make you feel that way.

His most memorable one was from training camp when he was asked about always signing autographs after practice. His answer was "one day they won't want your autograph anymore".

For what it's worth I hope he stays. He's the hardest hitter on the team.
