More severe changes: The #Saints are benching talented 2013 1st rounder Kenny Vaccaro, who has earned several game balls. Incredible.

Changes on the way for the #Saints. WR Joe Morgan has been informed he’s being waived, source said. More coming.

Wow. Sounds very tense in New Orleans today. More than 10 players called individually into #Saints coach Sean Payton’s office for review

Worth remembering Vaccaro was chosen just one pick after Star Lotulelei in the 2013 Draft.  Saint fans were bragging about how great he was gonna be, especially when he was paired with Jairus Byrd this past offseason.

Sounds like there could conceivably be more news in days to come.

I won't lie.  This gives me a chuckle

The hell he is! Vaccaro is a tweener linebacker playing safety like Barron.

Last season, PFF graded Vaccaro at +1.9 overall, with a +5.3 vs the run and a +2.3 against the pass.

He's had a slight drop off this year, but I promise you, it's because Ryan's defenses are such hot garbage. As has always been said, if his last name wasn't Ryan, he wouldn't have a job in the NFL.

I'd take Vaccaro and plug him in over Tre Boston, or Harper, or Lester, or DeCoud, or whoever else you want to throw out there in our piss-poor secondary.

Uh... That Chancellor fellow in the north-west is in that same mold and he seems to be doing ok.. In all seriousness those guys make a huge difference if you don't think so ask the tight ends they cover and remove from games with earth shattering hits

    • It's not sustainable,  although he deserve credit for the win also, as he made clutch plays as he does with every win we have.
    • As much as I would love to sit here and bash on Young.  I can't.   He is absolutely a part of this team winning.  He is the cool hand leading the offense along with the hammer, Rico.  He's making plays on 3rd and 4th downs, that are absolutely helping thus team win.  Is Bryce playing as well as we'd like? Nope. Although he had only 1 week off from a high ankle sprain.   No question he was 100% in the Greenbay game.  I'm not even sure where the team would find a clear upgrade over Byrce.  He is a leader.  In the 4th quarter, he has ice in his veins.  He is a part of why our team is enjoyable to watch again.  Without him, we wouldn't be winning.    Anyways.  Y'all enjoy yet another thread designed to tear down the man.
    • Great article on all the Lil Canes attending their debutantes ball. Walt with a great breakdown of all the rookies, as always, and I'm a huge fan of his team coverage, he is truly a treasure, but as a fan of mixed metaphors and superfluous language which some might ignorantly refer to as a "run-on sentence" I never really understood what that mean or where to put the comma after a quote in the middle of a sentence, but holy poo Walt, this is a gem, "While there's a long road left in front of them left to determine whether or not they'll have that same success on the blue line again, the beginning stretch of the journey has been thrown a wrench, and the story on defense has been the emergence of up-and-comers forced into becoming lineup regulars." , bravo, take a bow, sir!
