Cam's injury

I am not a doctor nor do i play one on tv but this is odd to me. His injury is a high impact one. Yet he did not take a direct shot to his back. Romo did. Jeremy broached the possibility that this was football related. I am now thinking same thing. Thoughts?

The only thing I have heard to dispute that theory is the fact that he was sore in the area after the accident and was not before.  However, the accident could have aggravated the injury--I am not sure anyone will know for sure, but it does seem a bit curious.

i'm no doctor either but i don't think you need to take a direct shot to the back to get the kind of injury cam got. dude got a massive amount of torque put on his body when that truck spun and flipped… the impact of the landing alone would probably be enough to do the same kind of damage as a helmet to the spine.

 

maybe whatever good juju was protecting darryl and carol's spines when that van fell off the bridge somehow ended up with cam

Doctors were certain it was caused by the accident. Common and usually caused by seat belts.

The impact of the car crash was high, and the sheer velocity it had to take to flip his truck multiple times like that is astounding. I would say that's pretty high impact.

If I was a local/regional Dodge dealer, I'd be clamoring for Cam to make me a commercial in the offseason doing just that talking about how awesome Dodge trucks are.

It actually may not have been caused by the seatbelt. A lot of times the injury Cam has is caused by violent twisting, which was probably the case in a truck flip.

You are susceptible to those injuries when your spine is contorted. Seeing as he flipped a few times he more than likely naturally twisted his back in a weird way "bracing" for impact
