Yeah I still do. Still only 1 winning season in 4 seasons. Can't rely on the rest of the division to suck to get to the playoffs. But he's not getting fired. Shula and Rivera campaign rolls on in 2015.

Ive eased up for now, give him one year for a couple reasons. A. This is a terrible year for a small market team like us to be in the market for a new HC.. NY, San Fran, Oakland, Chicago, Atlanta will all be in the market for a new HC, very stiff competition. Also, no way a losing record gets you in the playoffs two years in a row next season so either A. We make the playoffs or B. He is gone, not only that but other teams will have a head start on interviewing candidates since the other teams are out of the playoffs.

I still do. Win some playoffs games, maybe we'll talk. For now, this is another shitty start and good finish. We just got lucky that the rest of the NFC South was slightly more awful than we were this year.

Rivera wasn't getting fired even if we finished 3-12-1. He's not getting fired now. We have done a LOT worse with coaches, and this was as hamstrung a playoff team as I have seen in recent memory. No matter what anyone says, this team plays hard for him.

River has flaws, no one can deny that. But it is obvious that the players will play for him, and that his defensive philosophy is really good when he has talent to work with.

 

This is twice in a row that we have a nasty defense with replacement pieces put together on a budget due to bad management under marty hurney.

 

Problem is: Rivera and company, don't react, adapt, and respond well to changes, adversity, the opposition, and/or injuries which challenge them.

 

He's fine, when everything's lined up the way he wants (though still a bit too conservative for my taste).
