Reasons to feel great about next season

When was the last time we won a playoff game, and then went toe to toe with the defending champs with a bunch of rookies? Certainly isn't always

Keep your head up bud

When was the last time we made it to the NFC Champoinship game? My head is up, don't want to wait another 10 years before we get there again.

We all complain about how bad the passing offense is under Shula but if Stewart stays healthy, upgrade at LT, and add a speedy WR that could bust the top off a defense, the offense could be pretty damn good.

You must be joking. We talking about the same Shula that dials up 50 yard bombs on every 3rd and short?!?

I dont really understand the colin jones hype at safety, like i said he is what hes always been. He plays

Fast and is a great runnin stopping safety, plays screens well, but he is flawed. He is not good in coverage im fact he is a liability, definetly not a nickel. I like the dude he is a special teams Ace, and a quality back up who can come in and make plays but we cant rely on him for 16 games.

He was kind of a desperation player.  Guy is FAST and a great ST player.  He's a good reserve, and he had some really good plays.  He shouldn't be playing this much regular D next year.  We got thin, and some players didn't work out.

The Panthers now are like the Seahawks in 2010 with the difference that we have our franchise quarterback already instead of Hasselbeck.

Had they lost, their draft picks would have been better for 2011, but their culture would be a LOSING ONE.

We just overachieved to win 12 games and get a home playoff game. Yes we lost because Rivera got intimidated by the Referees flagging Mitchell to death,.... but never the less a great season.

We could have just followed the rest of the turds down the toilet for another 6-8 pick(Atlanta I believe picks 8 now) and maybe had a better chance at a tackle(another discussion for another time),

But we would have the same losing culture we've had here since 1995. 5 winning seasons out of 20. Through bizarro world circumstances we had a chance to make team history.

The team Rose Up and won a nice string to get in. They made mistakes in the first game.,.. but finished it out. They made mistakes in this second game but they did fight to the end, put another really nice drive with a stamp at the end,.. and they played it close.

Close not because of the score,..but take back 4 plays in that game and it was different story.

The Seahawks were here in 2010. Whats happened since? What had that franchise EVER done before that( Im on a roll so dont pop the bubble with the 2005 stolen Steelers Superbowl speech,...) They still sucked after that!!!!!

Change the culture,..EXPECT to be in the playoffs and contend instead of HOPE or WISH.

That started in 2011 when we drafted Cam Newton, then Luke and Norman, then Star and Short, and now KELVIN, Ealy, Turner, Boston, Bene, Philly, and the other UDFA.

Expect to win the South next year, win our bye round home playoff game and be in the NFCCS. Expect a Superbowl.

We should be favored next year. We have a nearly complete roster coming back. The draft is only going to improve this team. UDFA will only make the depth on this team amazing.

Will watch the Senior Bowls this weekend. The draft guides will be out soon and the new season will be here shortly.

I agree thats my point, he shouldnt be starting keep him for special teams and a reserve for emergency reasons, he is to much of a liability in coverage. But can mask it for a few games jus not in the divisional against the defending super bowl champs.

    • With the contract money an OT first rounder makes you can ALWAYS get a new girlfriend.  And probably an upgrade at that.  You only got 2 parents.
    • Brother. You are wholly confusing comparing situations and applying actual standards like most other franchises do like simply getting into a playoff series and winning at least 1 or 2 series games with praising. Nobody is praising the Hawks. Nobody is praising the Magic. Nobody here likes those teams. But reality is reality. The Hawks like other franchises have traded players fired coaches etc but they can still win a couple playoff games. How is that not the bare floor for you or anyone else? What are we doing here if it isn't? We've seen eye to eye on many things over the years. But you are in the camp on the Hornets where you are emotionally attached to LaMelo where you feel the need to carry his water like he's got that juice. That's cool that you feel that way. It's your prerogative. But I differ from that viewpoint entirely. If he had that juice we would not have gotten wiped off the court in 2 play in games with 2 different coaching staffs and rosters. if people don't like hearing that well I'm sorry but how the hell is this team ever going to get better and ultimately go anywhere in the postseason if we just blindly pat them on the back for getting their asses whooped before they actually even get into the real playoffs? There seem to be some Bryce Young level standards being applied here. That's wild to me. But to each his own.
    • Proctor/Freeling were always the belles of the ball where we were picking. What those two *could* become at OT was far greater than what others could be at their respective positions and I’m glad our FO could see that.
