So the wife and I are buying a new house (closing date next Monday) and it has a very nice basement, complete with a bar/kitchenette and fireplace. It's not going to be a true mancave but more of a family room for movie night and of course Panthers games and college basketball.  

 

Anywho, we were looking at TVs today and our budget is somewhat limited (we are buying a new friggin' house) and while looking at the 50 inch screen LCDs she said "Wow that looks nice". It was a 4k Sony.

 

After a brief discussion where I explained what 4k was and how it was slightly more "future proof" than LCD, she said "Well why don't you just get that one".

 

My God I love that woman.

 

She may get a reminder tonight of why they call me "bigjohn".

That's nice. I just buy poo and tell my wife later. Her response? "Ok"

 

She has no idea how much money I have invested in fishing equipment.

 

Of course I have no idea how much she has spent on shoes.

 

So yeah, our marriage is based on looking the other way. Sounds healthy.

Mitsubishi is hands down the best TVs on the market. You also pay a premium for their brand/quality.

LG is next, followed by ...

Samsung.

Vizio is one of the best bang for the buck.

According to what criteria?

      It's definitely a historical issue at QB but to be perfectly blunt, we also don't do a good job of really developing almost any position if you look at the last decade or so. I tend to be on the side of that being far less a development issue than an evaluation deficiency.  I think we are in the situation at QB2/3 recently due to the overall roster being absolutely abhorrent and the QB classes being quite thin. It is harder to justify another Matt Corral(or several) when you can potentially get a real two deep contributor at other positions.  But, it was a lot of hard work to get to the point where are roster is so incredibly bad that luxury picks literally are not in our vocabulary.  This is the reaping what you sow portion of our history.

      That is what I meant about our front office. They are like someone filling out a March Madness bracket based on preference of uniform colors and mascots. There's no rhyme of reason to some of these fugg'n mind numbing decisions they make.  They go all in on these flimsy-@ss prospects and are gun shy when it comes to more solid prospects.  It's literally maddening and the reason I stopped being so emotionally involved in this team. Heck the only reason I'm active on the board today is one, it's my day off and two, it's cut down time.
