Fox Sports three round Mock for the Carolina Panthers

Green-Beckham makes Josh Gordon look responsible. I wouldn't count on him being on our board at all.

He has the most pure talent as a receiver in the draft.  He spent a whole season at OU riding the pine and on the Scout Team and didn't get into trouble once.  Please don't compare him to a complete moron like Josh Gordon.

Let's not make him someone that he isn't, and that is worse than Josh Gordon. Quite the exaggeration here. If anything DGB is headed on a similar path, but he is so young, his story is just starting to be written. It is not like he stole a laptop or threw anyone on a bed full of guns (just a joke for those sensitive types.)

He smoked marijuana; a substance that I guarantee most on this forum have tried at least once in their life if not more.

He just got caught...and was in the wrong state.

That is all any of us know. We can assume he has a problem and that he is a bad person like the media does, or we can try not to further tarnish the namesake of a person that very well may be doing all he can to seek the help he needs.

Would I draft him? The talent is insane. Closest thing to Calvin Johnson that has come out since the man himself. On the other hand, 1st round guaranteed money would be hard to do.

I think the Panthers will pass...especially since they sat a man for an entire season for a crime that he MAY HAVE committed.

In my opinion though, Hardy should have played until found guilty by jury, and the Panthers would be stupid to completely write off DGB without a second thought. Schedule multiple workouts and dinners/interviews and decide face to face if this is a guy they should take a gamble on.

Biggest boom/ bust player in the draft...but sometimes you have to take risks. Only Gett, Rivera, and Rich can will be able to get close enough to this guy to see if he is worth it.

So...would I do it? If I was in a position to talk with the young man, and I see he has taken sincere steps to distance himself from that past.......Hell yes I draft him. Worth the risk to me.

No one is that desperate. If his former coaches are calling him a moron, then what makes you believe he'll pass the combine tests? Come on man...

I don't recall anyone at OU calling him a moron this past year.  Stoops (a way more reputable coach than Missouri's) came out and said nothing but good things about DGB.  Anyway, moron or not AJ Green got a 7 on the Wonderlic and KB got a 5 I think or lower.  He'll be a first round pick, wayyyyyy too much talent not to be.

    • No poo tho you might could Jenkins for Legette. They got nothing at WR after the big 2 in Cincy. I don’t think you trade away OL depth. Could get a quality player in cuts. Really that 3-4 end spot what you should be looking for is someone who is stout with long arms and can push back the OL in both the run and pass game for others to make plays…. But we signed Wharton, sometimes I think Evero is a fraud ass nerd who should be an analyst at best.
    • you would honestly probably do Monroe Freeling more of a disservice by putting him in a position where is not yet ready to succeed. .we all knew Monroe Freeling struggled at the NFL combine in drills because of technique related issues & would need time to develop  & now all of a sudden before they even put the pads on Monroe Freeling is somehow a starting LT in the NFL ? if he struggled at the NFL scouting combine what do you actually think is going to happen in a live NFL game at LT ? .even our best LT of all time was not ready to start at LT when he was a rookie & he turned out to be a pretty good darn LT by the name of Jordan Gross ...just saying be patient Young Jedis
    • well i could go on & on but i will just highlight it by saying big difference trust me from the SEC & NFL.it's honestly like comparing apples & oranges especially when you are talking about a  LT. in the NFL you are going up against the most athletic freaks of nature the world has to offer . .the NFL also has much more exotic & complicated defensive schemes than what they are used to seeing at Georgis &  finally but most importantly you have to learn how to master complex bio mechanics where the body kick steps instantly as a reaction to these world class athletes rush without really making a conscious effort it's more of a learned muscle memory  & it can take thousands upon thousands of reps to master rproper technique for a LT in the NFL especially if you are still very raw like Monroe Freeling is    ...just saying
