What happened to Ryan Kalil?

He is only a couple of seasons removed from being considered the top Center in the NFL.

His play has slipped over the last year or so, what happened to the All-Pro Center?

Sorry, this silly article got me thinking...

http://espn.go.com/espn/feature/story/_/id/12179331/how-many-players-away-super-bowl-was-team

I was reading it, and saw Kalil was in the "Average" category. So I looked at some film from this season, and yes there were moments he got burned on double teams, but also just pure slip ups that I haven't seen from him in years past.

I still think he should've been listed as "Good".

Carry on...

playing between silatolu and velasco or whatever AARP reject we had starting will make anyone look awful. it's no mistake he looked substantially better once turner and norwell were starting.

i'd love to see that interior lineup come back and start for us this year. i imagine a couple months of offseason workouts and training camp will do wonders for building chemistry.

Pretty much.

Kalil is a liability? I must have been watching a completely different player. At the absolute very least he has been solid.

As the players around him improved, the OL as a whole improved to finish the season. Is this really that difficult to understand?

I know right?

What's the deal with this bum?

Center should be at the top of list of draft needs.

We need someone who can call protections, remember plays and snap counts, and have 7 feet long arms and able to squat a metric ton.

This way he can block everyone at the same time. It's so simple.

Lol at you Kalil fan boys.

Pathetic really.

    • Been here since middle school right when it started around 2003 after the charlotte.com one. Living outside of Carolina it was tough to find good Panthers content, news or analysis. And no one to talk to about it. This place gave me a lot though I don’t often post. In the later days, I particularly Loved PhillyB’s write ups. They were fire. Too bad I go let it go. I appreciate the hell out of @MHS831 @TheSpecialJuan @Jackie Lee and others who have been posting great content and keeping this place worth coming back to. Particularly during the offseason. Appreciate y’all!
    • Nice explanation, but I was just messing with you. Thought that would be obvious. I dont have the energy to keep on trolling. Last season I compared our situation with Bryce as a potential Alex Smith, but what we should be looking for is our version of Mahomes. Some people will read that as one sentence, to me that single sentence is equivalent to a half A4 explanationf of the teams pathway forward.
    • I dont know how much of his salary would come across and how much a trade would cost but I feel Kmet would be the sort of TE Canales and Morgan would like
