Why was Brady so crappy today?

This thread is ridiculous.  The stats don't lie, Brady played very well against one of the best pass defenses in the NFL. Brady completed 75% of his passes.  The Patriots put more points up on Seattle than any other team has since early in the season.  And they didn't do it off of turnovers.  They did it with sustained drives.

The OP is one of maybe 5 people in the entire football world that thinks Brady had a bad game.  I realize he is not popular, but try to show a little bit of objectivity.

I thought he played pretty good last night other than maybe one or two throws.

There were a few times Seattle had him dead to rights and he either used that lightning quick release to get the ball off or showed off great pocket presence by moving around to avoid the pressure.

That was a championship performance by Brady. He's now officially the GOAT in my opinion.

brady had a decent game against the league's best defense and if you disagree with me why you must have richard sherman's nethers on your tongue

37-50 300+ and 4 TD's. Crappy....

The thing about that stat line is all of the talking heads were suggesting that the Seahawks wanted Brady to throw the ball fifty times because he would make mistakes and that would mean they weren't able to run. Well, he threw exactly 50, and they still won.

    • Gustavsson would be insane. I think we would have to break the bank to afford that move. Which, I don't think is necessarily a bad idea. Ultimately, Freddie isn't likely to be around more than a couple of seasons more. We can all agree that unless they have a fleet of sports psychologists working on Kochetkov, he will never be capable of getting his head on straight enough to compete.
    • I originally hated the Miller deal but with the cap projected to rise nearly $10M next season the Canes struck some pretty good deals between Miller and Ehlers. Most of the team is locked in for the next few years. Nikishin will need an extension probably in the $6M AAV range. And Blake will need one if we don’t move him. Personally I’d move Blake, picks, and any prospect not named Nikishin/Nadeau/Artamonov for McTavish as I don’t see any any of the big time players moving teams next year. Realistically the Hurricanes should just target Gustavsson next year to fix the goal tending issue. But I’m all for moving Blake, picks, and prospects for McTavish this year. Ehlers - Aho - Jarvis Svechnikov - McTavish - Stankoven Martinook - Staal - Carrier Hall - Kotkaniemi - Robinson Jost - Jankowski Slavin - Miller Nikishin - Chatfield Gostisbehere - Walker Reilly Andersen Kochetkov I’d do Blake, Felix-Unger-Sorum, and 27 2nd for McTavish.
    • Very true on the length but stuff like this is never where we shine. We aren’t a good team at drafting.
