Best Soups/Chowders/Stews

My go to soup when I am sick is a packet of Lipton Cup of Soup believe it or not. The convenience of having soup made in 30 seconds and just drinking it out of a cup is not to be underrated when getting out of bed is a struggle.

Other than that, I have been on a French Onion kick for a while. Real French onion soup with the Gruyere cheese / baguette.

I'm a huge fan of Clam Chowder. For a canned one, the Bar Harbor brand you buy in HT is pretty good.

During the summer my Dad and I have a spot where you can grab enough clams for a huge pot in about an hour. That's the best.

1 onion diced

7 stalks celery chopped

1lbs bacon

Diced garlic

White pepper

Parsley

3 cans chopped clams

2 cans whole baby clams

16oz clam juice

1/2 gallon half and half

6-8 cubed white potatoes.

Paprika to taste

Salt to taste

Cook bacon in the soup pot, remove the bacon and leave the grease.

Add celery and onions to the grease and cook until tender.

In separate pot boil potatoes.

Crumble bacon.

Add bacon clams(drained) and clam juice.

Add potatoes and seasonings.

Pour in half and half bring to low boil.

You can either put in fridge and let sit for 24 hours so the soup to thicken or add instant mash potatoes and enjoy.

    • The Bucs waived shilo sanders after he got ejected.
    • I'm just tired of ppl saying he's so accurate and then have to see recievers slow down to recieve the ball, ruining any chance at YAC
    • Some people will really look at stuff like this and say "no more excuses" but then make excuses to try and explain away the validity of big-time throws. 🙃   Back on topic though, as I mentioned in the other AT thread earlier, I hope that the team is still exploring the deal. If the Vikings want the Panthers to take on some of the salary, then it had better be at worst a 4th-round pick (though I imagine Dan angling for a 3rd). If they're willing to take on all of it, then maybe at worst a 5th. Tough pill to swallow, giving up a 4th for a 35yr old WR, but if MIN believes they can have similar success behind McCarthy then it could be a smart deal for them. Hell, if AT has any gas in the tank and gives them a 1yr sweetheart deal to close out at home, even better for Minnesota. Yea, Bryce loses his best and most reliable WR. Hunter Renfrow though isn't what I would call a huge step down though (if he's as advertised throughout camp), and it gives more reps to TMac + XL + Coker. This season is all about continued development and answering some of the looming questions (Is Bryce the guy? Is Evero the DC going fwd? How do the young WRs develop? How long does it take this defense to bounce back from being historically awful?).
