When Healthy (which admittedly is not much) he is a avg.. and a experiences LT.. Something we don't have..

Pretty much this.  I hope we'll have a better LT than him next season but even he would be an upgrade over Bell.

I really hope not.  If we can just field an average LT next year I think it'll help our offense tremendously.

If you go after a guy like Baker, it should not be in the first week of FA.

 

injuries and subpar performance are not something for which we should pay too high or too long

 

he is another "tick" to me.  little, fat, short armed guy who will get beat a lot on speed rushes

Honestly with as desperate as we are, sign as many guys on short/cheap contracts as possible and let them battle it out.

Isn't he injury prone?  I mean similar to Otah.   Except,  unlike Otah,   when Baker is healthy,  he's just a below average tackle.
